That's a fantastic addition! Each of those climbers has indeed made significant contributions to the world of alpinism and climbing. Here are a few highlights about some of them:

1. **Marc-André Leclerc** (1992-2018) - A Canadian alpinist known for his bold solo ascents and innovative routes, particularly in Patagonia and the Canadian Rockies.

2. **David Lama** (1990-2019) - An Austrian climber and mountaineer known for his free climbing achievements and his first ascent of the southeast face of Cerro Torre.

3. **Carl Tobin, Charlie Sassara, Vern Tejas, Jack Tackle** - These Alaskan climbers have made significant contributions to climbing in Alaska, with numerous first ascents and pioneering routes in the region.

4. **Mark Twight** - An American climber known for his extreme alpine ascents and his contributions to the philosophy and training of alpinism.

5. **Anatoli Boukreev** (1958-1997) - A Kazakhstani climber known for his high-altitude climbs and his heroic efforts during the 1996 Mount Everest disaster.

6. **Naomi Uemura** (1941-1984) - A Japanese adventurer and mountaineer known for his solo ascents and expeditions, including the first solo winter ascent of Denali.

7. **Giusto Gervasutti** (1909-1946) - An Italian climber known for his difficult routes in the Alps, particularly in the Mont Blanc massif.

8. **Emilio Comici** (1901-1940) - An Italian climber known for his pioneering routes and technical climbs in the Dolomites.

These climbers have left a lasting legacy in the climbing community, inspiring countless others with their daring ascents and dedication to the sport.

Yeap!

That’s a great list!!! Thank you. While any list based on achievements in Alpinism is largely objective, I would subjectively add Marc Andre Leclerq, David Lama, many Alaskans (Carl Tobin, Charlie Sassara, Vern Tejas, Jack Tackle…), legend Mark Twight, Anatoly Bukareev, and some Japanese (alive and dead, like Naomi Uemura), and some Italians (Gervasutti and Comici).

I got one (the theme is I’m late for something, I’m flunking an exam or even forgetting that I had to take one) and it comes every few months. My takeaway: avoiding doing something in order to feel some emotions.

I get up from bed at 0300 to do solo climbing laps in a crag 40’ away. Because I can’t sleep, because of burnout. And the odd climbing schedule is what makes more sense of my current life.

Howsit, howsit

I’m new to this and happy to have done it because in short, I can see much more engaging thought provoking posts - and less, much less quarrels and bickering.

I’m a professional alpinist - for now. Thank you!
