Great question! I have kids, and at the time i had them, i believed in the reality of space and time, of duality, and in bodies. now that i am fully on a spiritual path rooted in nonduality and fixed on the goal of removing all barriers to Love’s presence, i see the act of bearing children as an expression of the need for special love relationships and to “get” something from those relationships we think is lacking in us.

I also believe we are reliving lives that have already happened in a dream sequence of lives, in an instant. under the guise of linear time, these lives feel like literal lifetimes, but everything really happened all at once.

what im saying is i believe having children, our careers, and things that appear to happen here we meant to happen. call it destiny. how we respond (look) at those events in the present is all that matters. i see my status as a father and relationships with my children as opportunities for forgiveness, to see them as i (try to) see everyone else, as pure spirit, whole and innocent. one with God, as myself.

special love relationships like with children is just another ego trap. my children in reality are part of the same Mind that seemingly split into countless bodies.

i love having an opportunity, as you alluded to, to teach them about right perception and to see all things in a different way than through the body’s eyes & with ego thoughts.

the ego’s thought system is predicated on the idea of “one or the other” and the delusional principle of “giving to get.”

indeed, we enter into special relationships (i.e., marriage) in order to get something from the other person we think we lack.

In reality, you have and always have had everything. In reality, in order to have, give all to all.

In oneness, everything is all-encompassing—what you give to one you give to all, including yourself.

In this world of bodies, you may temporarily feel deprived of something, or feel you lack materiel things you think will bring you peace and happiness.

If you seek fulfillment in external things—other bodies, food, money, etc—you may feel good for awhile, but you will not be entirely satisfied.

Seek for happiness outside yourself, and you will always be wanting more.

Seek it within, and you will find the everlasting peace you’ve been seeking and that’s always been yours.

what you teach is teaching you. what you project or extend you believe.

this same truth can be applied to how you perceive others. project your guilt and fear onto them (anything that isn’t love can be substituted here), and that is what you believe about yourself (guilty, condemned, etc)

Look at others as innocent, guiltless, and without condemnation, and you will believe that to be true about yourself.

Your projection is but a reflection of your inward condition.

Concluding thought (something i aspire to do): Teach only love, for that is what you are.

while my beliefs about the nature of reality (pure non-dualism) allow me to look at anything outside my self (right Mind) as unreal, as long as i appear to be here (as a body, in this physical world), i will continue to marvel at all that #bitcoin is.

i believe bitcoin will drive innovations and advancements in this world that are hard to imagine today, maybe even beyond belief. I place bitcoin among the likes of the inventions of the lightbulb and the printing press, but has the potential to be far, far more revolutionary.

What has me really into bitcoin is its potential to drive long-lasting peace in this world, on the level of form, which in turn, i hope, will gently nudge everyone to look within where change is really only possible, in the mind.

the ego does not care how devoted we are to a spiritual path as long as we do not relate our spirituality to the mind. In fact, the ego blesses all behavioral (mindless) expressions of devotion that focus on the external. Go along with the ego’s clever games, and you will be distracted from remembering the truth, which remains in your mind.
