Well...I'm no expert, but I have been playing the game and based on my experiences these are some thoughts.. I use a software that automatically adjusts fees based on demand...picking channels is a total guessing game for the most part. most channels only flow in one direction so they don't really balance themselves and It costs money to open any channels in the first place to boot. Sat's can get stuck in limbo if someone pulls a dick move on you in force closing a channel....one of my channels has been full for a couple of months...It never moves anything out only ever received inbound traffic..I am running 9 channels should be enough reach I would think, for at least a little bit of action. I haven't given up but it sure is a sad story...LOL..

I like it.. initially I only had the browser extension linked to Alby which was linked directly to my LN node... the issue I had was that the wallet showed the whole balance of my node, which was millions on satoshis......once I sideloaded Albyhub on my Start9 I was able to "Uncle Jim" a couple of wallets via the friends & family app and all problems were solved...now I have a wallet just for fun zapping that doesn't have access to the balance of my node... It only shows the 25,000 satoshi balance(when topped up) and I can easily see when someone sends me a zap. Thanks Alby....none of this is easy, but once I figured everything out, I have been having a blast with it.

I've only been here a couple of months I'm not really able to set up anything... Boy I got some world class gnarly feet though.... and for a few extra sats I can even send private pics of when I had athletes foot last year... Thank you for responding with actual advice though.
Looking for advice....What can I do to earn sats on nostr to help cover the risks/costs of running a LN node... I am not an artist...photos I post don't count as adding value, I don't have a face for streaming...I'm pretty sure... my comedy never gets through, my good mornings fall on deaf ears... seems like sats are flying all over the place, but my net has holes....thanks in advance. I could do feet pics, but not sure where to post them.
This is just something I've personally noticed along the way. I've been here for about 2 months.. People who are here already love bitcoin and they see all the zaps that copy posting gets and in the universal effort to stack sats they begin to do the same thing.. versus the zero zaps or responses you get when you post a new or individual thought without a picture... I want sats personally and have considered just falling in line with the other zombie re-posters.....I run a Lightning node at a loss, I still don't know why, I should just worry about myself. I consider myself a digital pan handler.... no matter how much I react or respond, there is barely any activity in my wallet...honestly Jor. You are my greatest benefactor since coming here.... My whole life practically revolves around bitcoin.. I love it and I love bitcoiners, but jealousy creeps in.. sorry for the long reply, but It's unlikely anyone will read it... Keep the faith and keep those dreams alive.. Give Arnie a pat on the head for me...
