The only FCs I had with CLN:
- Network with stuck HTLC
- LND
You can also be sure your channels won’t randomly catch on fire due to some stupid LND bug.. unless your peer is LND
The very-high-range modules also would have some amount of processing, I would assume
dumb as in implementation
they are just a photodiode and a LED/laser, maybe with a DSP chip for the very long distance + 100Gbps with no MPO ones
SFP optics are quite dumb
strike I believe does not use nostr significantly
strike is great. 🤙
primal is questionable though, and they are leaning too much towards a partially walled garden approach
But you are reading from the caching server which can control what you see and in that case you do not need a relay
Primal has censored content multiple times
Also, running relays at production scale (with nostr.land) costs barely anything even though it is the default in a lot of clients
Not for long. nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr has confirmed they will add a fallback where the client reads directly from relays in the case of a caching server outage.
A caching server is not a bad thing, especially as Nostr grows. Primal will always be the fastest client with the largest user base. The other clients are ugly and slow.
A caching server removes the entire point of having relays. That is why everyone is working on outbox.
They exclusively rely on the caching server
they would have done NWC now if they wanted to, but the high spreads on sat sales is just too good ;)
Maybe some, however nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0t25cfd literally does tech support himself. He's an outlier and a good human.
I meant Primal in this case.
If nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0t0hd0d adds NWC, then I'm wondering if their clients like nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpp3mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7qg4waehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvsqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0ds2g5zx8 would get NWC too? That would be huge for Primal users that use the built-in Primal wallet. They'd be able to use their Primal wallet in a dozen different Nostr apps instantly.
Why would they? VC funded companies don’t give a shit about users
such a chemical structure is not possible
you could make a tool to generate a NIP-98 event by taking in URL + path, so it should be easy though
It is 60% cheaper than competing translation services, provides high quality translations, and offers significantly more languages :)

no, and I would recommend you make a dedicated CLI to manage the relay via HTTP
it is HTTP authentication with npubs, and it is pretty cool
