“When we win, do not forget that these people want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it's funny.”

~ Sam Hyde

It's not just you. I'm having all sorts of issues with it, and the alternative clients I try have a whole host of issues as well.

I love nostr, but the technical difficulties are tough to deal with.

My soul feels dirty after watching that debate.

Jeffrey is so great on everything outside of Bitcoin. I'm disappointed that he's effectively become radio silent on Bitcoin in recent years. I think the BCash drama really fucked him up psychologically.

did you manage to finish it, or did you end up tapping out?

Honestly, I don't know enough about jobs to evaluate how accurate the Biography is. I'm basically learning about him through this bio, for better or worse.

I do know that Jobs actively sought out Walter to write his biography, and he does seem to have a good reputation for this sort of thing, fwiw.

I'll try to check out Triumph of the Nerds when I'm done.

subpar

I think the meat paddies are generally okay for you. It's just ground beef. Everything else is poison.

Been on a big biography kick lately.

Read the Napoleon bio by Andrew Roberts. Outstanding, but very dense. I recommend starting with the concise biography of napoleon by David bell to get an overview before diving into the Roberts one. You can read the latter in a day or 2.

I'm currently reading the Steve Jobs biography by walter isaacson, which is both incredibly motivating and hilarious. It really makes me want to start taking some more risks on myself and going all in on what I love.

Next up, I'm planning on reading the Elon biography by Walter Isaacson, but I'm also considering a few others.

The Andrew Roberts biography on King George III is intriguing, because I'd lover to learn about the American revolution from a British perspective and this seems like a great way to do that. I plan on reading this eventually, but will probably read Elons first.

Have you read any great biographies lately? Do you have any to recommend to me? I'd love to hear it!

I will say that I experience a lot of technical problems on nostr with no clear path to resolution, regardless of what client I use. I've tried almost all of them.

i can't imagine how frustrating it is for people less technical than me to use nostr with any consistency.

That being said, I still love it and think it shows strong promise, but there's a lot or problems to solve yet.

beautiful young couple, congratulations!

One of the most irritating things about NOSTR for me is that many of the features often just don't work for me and I have no idea why or how to address it.

Right now, when I try to follow new people, I literally can't click the follow button. Nothing happens when i click it. Doesn't matter how many times I try. 🤷‍♂️

his book 'The White Pill' really illustrates how dangerous low-status people can be in a totatalitarian state where they are rewarded for ratting out their neighbors. It's scary stuff.

The Trump/Elon conversation last night was very eye opening.

Elon is clearly making a play for power, and Trump is his vehicle.

He kept pushing for Trump to appoint him to a commission that would weed out government waste.

He was effectively offering to become the executive of the administration, who can actually get shit done, while Trump is the guy who shakes hands and smiles for the camera.

It feels like we're witnessing the beginning of the rise of Tech CEO monarchs.

oh no way? Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure why that would be. I received a couple of zaps earlier today.

I have my issues with him, but it's hard not to admire him post-assassination attempt. He handled it like such a boss. It's one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed.

Regardless of what you may think of Trump, it is an absolute milestone to have him speak at the Bitcoin conference today.

I can't believe how far we've come. The fact that the conference is full of senators, congresspeople, presidential candidates and other powerful people is outrageously bullish.

They need us more than we need them. Bitcoiners are going to become one of the most powerful political lobbies the world has ever seen.
