What's the upshot? Presumably you would say that we ought to "contend" in the culture war. Are there any examples you have in mind?

What would have to happen for me to pick up and leave:

-mortal danger or violence I can't defeat

-friends and family want to leave

Yes. I say stick around unless it gets too egregious. If you expect it to get too egregious for you, plan accordingly.

If you have people you care about living near you, do you really want to move far away from them right when everything goes to shit (which will be the moment when everybody wakes up)?

I'd say how bout tree fitty

Also tasks.org . These days it's my primary productivity app.

A text file can be very powerful as a calendar or task list.

In such a detailed analysis, I felt the concept "Purity test" needed to be unpacked. You seem to speak of purity tests in terms of people being ostracized and attacked merely for having a positive attitude about an altcoin (or stainless steel pans, etc).

But what about purity tests in terms of:

-What people want give a platform to?

-Heuristics for beginners or for quick initial assessments?
