I didn’t use netting or anything. Just try to pick as many as I can as soon as they ripen. Definitely end up loosing some to birds and insects though.

Last year I went down a rabbit hole on pruning fruit trees, realized mine was growing too tall and needed to cut most of the big branches to encourage it to grow outward rather than upward.
Nice cherry harvest this year. I like to freeze them for smoothies.
