Imagine it’s a language, like Chinese. And you don’t speak it. But you go to Chinatown several times a week. And you can kind of understand the Chinese speakers on an emotional level. You can tell when they’re friendly or upset. You can make out their intention sometimes with hand gestures and body language.
You don’t need to speak Chinese for survival. You’ll be fine without it.
But you’d like to be more fluent so you can interact with the folks in Chinatown when you visit. Because when you can speak their language you make your world bigger. More of life becomes clear to you. You have different and deeper insights. Etc.
Does anyone feel that music is a bit of a mystery they would like to understand better?

The design and UX of vida.live is fantastic. But for some reason it's just never worked for me.
I somehow downloaded some bad code when using it once and now there's a client-side error whenever I visit the page. Can't even log in. Can't seem to fix it. Vida team has tried to help but no solutions. I can access the page on other browsers.
But now when I try to stream (using another browser) just spins "connecting..." and never starts. Does this on multiple different browsers. Have restarted my own computer and everything. Wondering if it's a server-side error.
Anyway, at my wit's end with it for now. Might try again tomorrow.
Shill me your best guides for how a total noob can start live-streaming real-time improvised bitcoin music on nostr.
Some context:
- I know how to use OBS (mostly)
- I've streamed via Twitter before
- I've a Restream account, but they seem oblivious to nostr
- I've been trying with Vida.live but have had almost constant technical problems. Really want that to work, but it's been a headache.
It seems like there are 21 million fecking options for how to do this and my head is exploding.
Can anyone link me to a tutorial or docs on setting this up?
Would love to stream some live music but all these settings are completely overwhelming. I've got a restream account and have set up OBS on my computer, but I've no idea what to use as my "HLS Stream Url"
Cloudflare looks like it's going to cost $78/mo ??? No thanks.

Interesting. Not sure I understand what's going on there. Doesn't seem to offer stream hosting, so (I'm no expert) you have to create/host the stream somewhere else, and this service just pipes that into some kind of native nostr post so it shows up cleanly in a nostr feed? That doesn't seem like it. I'm confused :-/
Nope. It's a mystery.
I got it working in a private browser window so I can stream when I want to.
But the original bug is still unsloved. It's something weirdly specific to this one browser.

I never aimed to earn anything from the music. It's just a way I thought I could contribute to the mission of Bitcoin and financial self-sovereignty.

Okay, so my understanding is that BitcoinCore v25 is "released".
But bitcoin.org only allows for downloading v22.
