Disagreeable. Prove me wrong.

Now we're supposed to believe you're an autist?

Well, carry on...

Good thing we don't really have follower counts!

Click on the globe icon to deselect global on some of those, like the ones that pretty much relay whatever.

You'll get a lot less trash in your global feed, at least.

Most men would also never admit they were enslaved to a woman, or think they were enslaved to their car or house.

When the owners become the slaves... my mind is thinking in some of the art around Pinocchio, or maybe Animal Farm.

See, this is good - agree on the first point.

But I think the clothed woman is actually maximizing her sexual power, by seeking to increase the value of what remains hidden.

I think manipulation by a bluff is much more effective, and has longer-reaching effects.

It isn't showing restraint, it is showing coercion and manipulation. Not making a value judgement on that right now. Maybe clothing is violence.

This backs into my thoughts on ownership earlier - but this would be how women own men. Has been true the whole time. Men have been enslaved to women because of modesty. And what may have been a cruel trick is now getting unwoven in a very unpleasant way, with self-mutilation and identity crisis becoming common.

I disagree with this. Clothing does not preclude using all available forms of coercion, including using sexuality as such.

The idea of covering sexual organs might have little to do with modesty, and more to do with protecting those organs from damage, as they are crucial for reproduction.

But using coercion and violence to enslave a population had many side effects and anything that could be "demonized" was, so the slaves were taught that parts of their body belonged only to the gods or their representatives...

Yes, I can take this much further. Clearly I woke up and chose philosophy today.

So what does it mean to own something? The concept of ownership has been debated through various philosophy for millenia.

It is nebulous enough of a concept that I would consider ownership to be a part of a social contract, defined by the laws of the land, and not a concept derived from nature's law.

I could state that anything you own is just a proxy or token of your time and energy. Super-generalized, but possessions are shitcoins, and firms like Blackrock and Vanguard are shitcoin exchanges.

Even in this extreme generalization, I think I could make the case of Bitcoin being different, because of its lack of physical representation. Because mind wallets are possible.

Anything on the physical plane cannot be owned, and rather owns us, as much as we allow it.

We cannot change the past. We can only improve on it.

The present is all we have, so make the best of it.

I had an online checking account at the x.com bank before it became Paypal.

Tonight I wrote another long-form piece, this one is an introspective on authenticity. May be timely, considering today's trolling. It's about 2k words, so save it for when you have some time ;)

It really is interesting how #nostr is like the elephant being examined by blind men.

I see a comment about functionality or UX, and immediately think about what client they are using, and how their experience could be different in another client.

And then I consider how many clients I use throughout the week to get the various features I need on the platforms I use.

Comparisons to the early internet fit here too, we've already got the early AOL, Compuserve, and probably Earthlink. But we are so early!

It may be years before a MySpace evolves, or months. Then even longer for a Facebook. I think we are going to repeat the progression of the social internet, and possibly the commercial internet, just much more rapidly. I expect the last 30 years to cycle through in the next 2-3 years.

I started with BBS services, dial-in and over telnet. Fun to watch the entire thing flash by in fast forward, but hopefully better this time, thabks to having our own native currency.

I rode my motorcycle today.

Rode on the highway that runs along rhe bottom of my hill.

Almost hit a large dog that ran out in the street. Stopped safely.

My 90ยฐ turns are too wide, especially from speed. Not really grest from stopped, either.

I think this may be the last of these ~daily posts.

I am still learning to ride my motorcycle, a little more every day.
