I believe regardless of the platform, we have social responsibility which content we want to promote (positive and negative), to pick fights or to defend or to have a constructive dialogue. I am rooting for the latter. 🤓

I believe you are confusing the violent protest (which I do not condone nor support) vs the peaceful protest which everyone has the right to do so! Censoring your people vs doing a proper investigation of the criminal acts are two different method of solving crises.
If a country cannot be criticised is no different from Totalitarian regime.
Yes, Russia, China and North Korea are controlling what their people can say and cannot say. BUT, their people are aware of this. Their people know what regime and society they are in. They are in no illusion that they are in democratic system!
Fascist regime are upfront about what they want from their people. Whereas some countries which called Democratic but actually operating Totalitarian is hypocrite.
Do not confuse freedom of speech from violence.
You are here on Nostr which I can assume you enjoy the censorship resistance that this tech offers. Some people as we speak right now do not have this luxury.
I do hope that no one from your relatives nor you will be at the receiving end of this censorship regime and will never experience poor detainment because you SPEAK UP (speech is not the same as violent act towards people - in case this definition gets misunderstood!) against your gov't.

I am genuinely curious. I am sad to watch Britain falling from grace - cracking down hate speech is a direct threat of freedom of speech.
How would you instigate change and protect your freedom of speech?
1.) Do you stay and accept to be censored?
2.) Move to other countries?
3.) Take them to court? Can you trust them?

Storage is cheap!
But...
It can also lead us (if we allow it!) to a lazy road where we create endless of data regardless whether there is a need to keep it or not! Bloatness on storage is beyond my comprehension.
I certainly am guilty of this! As I continuey migration AWAY from OneDrive. I realised I have been hoarding massive amount of files (videos, images,etc). Old files which I thought were useful but when I took time to review it, it was utterly garbage!
So, yeah! I was paying annually to store some data that are utterly garbage!
If we are not mindful because it is cheap, it does not mean it is sustainable!

Death by Comparison.
While we are wired to compare ourselves from others, it is important that we are mindful who we compare ourselves. Instead of comparing our self to others, compare it to our younger self.
The same as this beautiful rose. In a garden full of roses it is difficult to stand out if the objective is to stand out. But on its own, it is a beauty with its flaws. We all have our beauty, our flaws.
The bottomline, changing how we see ourselves and how we view ourselves to the world matters especially whose voice we listen of who we are.

I am hoping for a better interaction than the other centralised platform. 2 weeks on Nostr consistent posting. However, I noticed that as a community we are all responsible of what type of content we promote to engage or how we engage. Otherwise, the people will be the same but the tech is different. Real value, humanise more our interactions and not just a number, a metric of engagement.
Control is as effective as the people who are willing to be controlled!
PsyOps propaganda is as effective as our biases, desire and ego.
We gravitate to situation, people and topics based on our belief systems, core values and past experiences.
Hence, we can be the best target when we lack of self awareness, self control, we act on impulse and when we let our EMOTIONS get the better of us.
Instead, we fail to reflect and point the fingers on ourselves because it is easy to put blame on others than take accountability of our actions, our own choices.
Even the very thought, by merely thinking those thoughts, entertaining it and emboding it is a CHOICE.
But no, blaming is far easy than doing something about it, than evaluating our own actions.
So before we throw our judgement on others, before we say what could have done better. Let's ask ourselves first, what have we done to change the situation or what have we done to make it better, or why are we affected by those statements, by the situation?
Is it because of our own beliefs or past experiences?
Are we projecting? Am I on auto-pilot or am I mindful right now?
If we CANNOT do this fundamental aspect of humanity then how can we expect a better world if we cannot start it from WITHIN?

A friend of mine once said, "People come and go." Those who stayed are those worth keeping and stood the time.
I was cleaning my OneDrive before migration and removing redundant files. As I reviewed some of it, it reminded me of the great times I once had with some of the people in my life that are no longer with me or part ways. It was difficult to review but worth reminiscing.
One thing is clear, "nothing lasts forever" and "there are people in your life that you wouldn't know their true colours until tested in time".
It may left you with sadness and holding on to those precious memories but they are memories. You can choose which story you want to tell and the lessons you can drawn from those memories.
I have no ill intentions from those people whom I part ways. Instead, my well wishes that wherever their journey lead them, I hope it is to their heart's desires. 🫰❤️

I think I was not articulating my question properly. My question stems to understand the strategic future of Monero. It means what are the current risks other than market volatility but also existing technological risks that may hinder the full potential of this cryptocurrency! I understand not all users want to understand what is under the hood. However, if you plan to invest on a tech (which is technically all cryptocurrencies are!), you want to know its strategic and long term plan. Any investors think otherwise is gambling! Ty 🤓
