I thought Arizona would be cheaper than California. Registering a car is cheaper, but insurance is about double!! Sales and restaurant taxes are higher. but buying an actual home and land is way cheaper, at least in mohave county.

Not paying taxes to the corrupt government of California is also a plus, so I guess we'll stay here for now 😅😎

I used to think something like unexpected expenses might come up where the newly earned money might need to be directed to my future kids.

I'm pretty sure our van is that kid 🙄 we have a goal and we work hard (by "we" I mean my husband works while I tag along and write on Nostr 😇) and then we make a chunk, and then the van wants something.

The latest being how we were not expecting the insurance to go UP by like $400 when transferring OUT of California. Registration was so easy and cheap, that the insurance prices left us dumbfounded!

I think umbrel or start9os is a good start if you want to go the full node route, they both have the btcpayserver app. You can run it pruned, so no need for a crazy big hdd. The tricky part is more related to networking and proxying. I usually set up a clodflare proxied domain to the btcpay server instance, this is the most painful part of the setup. If you dont have a static ip it adds to the pain. But it really depends on the use case, for a farmers market you maybe don't need btcpayserver, maybe just a normal ln node + android wallet...

Btcpay server is the most production ready solution out there, has woocomerce plugin ready, pos functionality...etc. Downside is hosting it, running a node, getting some inbound ln liquidity...

I’m having some real issues with tomatoes, basil, and most of my cilantro, about 4.5 weeks in. Lot of droopy or dropping leaves.

About 13 hours of light a day. I water into the trays, so it wicks up.
