A disengaged airline pilot with a thirst for wisdom (& #Bitcoin) Documenting what I've learnt through letters to my son, Reg.

my step dad would always say to me "observe the masses and do the opposite"

ironically, he is one of the most conventional and compliant people I know. 😅

still, he's got some bloody good sayings though.

I'm not a social media guy.

But this pain point drove me to twitter, and ultimately NOSTR. The knowledge density here is high.

People that tell themselves they're not into #bitcoin for Number Go Up are almost as deluded as people who tell themselves their brain works best at night.

Na. it's more like...

I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

That's a wholesome family shot.

Keep making bitcoiners.

I'd honestly plump lower.

it's staggering the amount of people I meet that don't seem to have any introspection, or any curiosity about anything.

They're just happy to watch their favourite sitcom, drink a bottle of wine each night, and play the lottery..

Congratulations!

it's a wild ride.

A big thank you to nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle and STRIKE!

Since I discovered that I can make instant payments from Strike to my bank account (even on Sundays!), I can keep more than 99 percent of my wealth in bitcoin.

I've had several wow moments with Strike (since it became available in Germany).

Thank you!

Just need them to allow my UK salary to get paid into my account, and I'm totally fine with fiat banks.

Your kindle library is like a window into your mind.

Should you ever peer through my window, you see a slightly contrarian, money-hungry individual who's plagued by the shortness of life.

And I'm not sure it's a good thing.

If you don't turn off notifications on your phone, you're a psychopath in my book.

Before my son turns 1yo: "this parenting thing is horrible. I don't get what all the fuss is about"

After my son turns 1yo: "Ah yeah, this is the best thing ever"

I used to fly with a crazy Dutch guy.

He was a full blown conspiracy theorist.

9/11. Chemtrails. Aspartine. Moon landing. You name it.

I still think the guy's crazy, but less crazy than before.

I never understand women who say men are complicated.

Just stroke our ego / penis.

We're almost pathetically simple.

I think it's all about finding just ONE piece of quality content that tries to explain it as simply as possible...
