No it doesn't. NostrGram only reads from paid relays for the Global feed. For the other feeds it reads from 150+ relays -- paid and free.
For the social media use case of NostrGram I don't see why you would need to store notes in perpetuity, especially since people can easily backup their data or run their own relay for their own history. I tested it early on with NostrGram and virtually nobody ever scrolled past 2-3 days to read the notes.
The problem is you have your pubkey wrapped in <> in the nostr.json file. See the image.
Goodnight all. Keep Nostr weird while I'm asleep. 🛌
That which is crooked cannot be made straight.
I made some improvements to NostrGram's Light Mode. I'm a Dark Mode fan, but Light Mode is actually looking much better now!
I'm not seeing your nip05 verification badge on NostrGram. Do you see the purple badge next to your nip05 address?
It's using DeepL, which is really good. As long as it doesn't go over 500,000 characters of translation per month it's free. After that it's $25 per 1 million characters. So not expensive at all given how good it is.
Web apps will always load slower on mobile than native clients. I use NostrGram on my phone because it has all the features and functionality I want, but there's no way for a web app to match the speed of a native one.
You can with NostrGram. All of your badges are stored in the tags of one event kind (30008). If the client changes those tags to remove a badge you no longer want, it won't show up in your profile anymore.
New background/banner image.
It's on openai. Here's the link: https://openai.com/product/dall-e-2
If you haven't tried the Dalle2 AI image generator, it's really good.
One for all you classy lady Nostriches.

Ok it's not a nurse but this is what DALL-E2 (AI image generator) came up with.

I couldn't say. I've implemented support for badges but haven't made any myself.
NostrGram (your background is animated but this is a still shot)

It could be the web socket server. Try loading it using this link instead:
That will force it to use the REST api rather than the web sockets.
🙏
Next up is an addition to the Filters dialog that lets you see every badge you've been awarded. If you get a lot of notifications they can slip by and you might miss them so I want a place for you to be able to see all of the ones you've ever gotten. Plus it will make it easy to revisit them if you change your mind.
Ok definitely going to have to limit how many badges are shown on a note lol #[0]
Probably my favorite badge so far 😂
Coming soon to NostrGram...
No worries at all! Glad you like it. 😄
Use a nip07 extension. NostrGram supports those.
Nostr has a Nip now that allows pubkeys to be awarded badges for whatever purpose the badge creator wants. There's a standard way to display the badges so clients can all show them (if they choose).
One more word on Nostr spam. The spam that I'm deleting is mostly from before relays started implementing spam prevention. I'm seeing a lot less of it now, which means relays are doing a good job with spam prevention. The worst offenders in the spam id routine I just ran stopped showing up towards the end of the database -- which is when relays started implementing spam prevention.
So toss a sat-coin to your relay.
Great explanation! NostrGram is different in that it has its own caching server database that indexes about 150 relays and shows how many (unique) followers you have across all of them. So you get a more accurate accounting of all your followers. Not that follower counts mean much. Engagement is what really matters.
Just mute them. In the feed click on their profile icon or name and click the red 🔉 icon. It will remove their notes from your feed immediately and not show any others that get posted.
The Great AI has spoken. NO-str it is.
