Amazing how much money my dog has saved me through the years. Trip to Italy? Nope, can't find a dog sitter. πŸ˜‚

I always wonder how all these "whales" store their Bitcoin. Like what if Saylor has a heart attack tomorrow. What mechanisms does he have in place so that Microstrategy continues? I still stand by my assessment of Bukele. 🀣

Apple needs to give up on iPad OS and just have a touchscreen version of MacOS. Same hardware as a MacBook Air except I don't get a keyboard or track pad. For the money im buying an Air and running iPad apps on it. 🀷

Probably on a Ledger wallet with the recovery service turned on 🀣

Personally, the only hardware wallet I trust is a Coldcard. But yes, it ultimately comes down to 24 words and maybe a passphrase. I am assuming multi-sig. But if he was hypothetically deposed, what then? He just hands the seed phrase to the next guy? Is the next guy going to even know how Bitcoin works? Or does he get in a jet to the middle East and transfer the $400+ million somewhere else? Saddam Hussein had pallets of cash and gold which he had no intention of handing over. Again I'm just speculating.

Personally, I vote for the issues that matter to me. The actions of the politicians. For example, I believe in a stronger border and law enforcement. If your campaigning on open borders and not prosecuting crimes under $1000 in damages. IM NOT going to vote for you. If you're campaigning on higher taxes. IM NOT going to vote for you. Unfortunately, most people just see an R or a D and vote that way. And the media is just there for ratings and catering to their demographic. I read about things like tampons in Men's Restrooms in Canada and scratch my head and tell myself "this can't be real". I am sure someone on Nostr is super thrilled they're doing it though.

What people dont realize is that this guy is going to load up on Bitcoin with state funds and disappear with the keys one day. Can't be sanctioned, can't be frozen, or seized. No one even knew until this tweet that he had this much. Where are the seed phrases? Who has the pin to the hardware wallet?

I agree that things can be discussed freely but it's just going to devolve into madness. Imagine being a flat earther and arguing with an Astronaut all day and night. It won't go anywhere. 🀣

Let's discuss the fact that you need to use something tied to your name to purchase p2p. Examples: your CashApp account tied to you and your bank. Your Amazon account. Etc. Plus you're paying a hefty premium. You're better off getting the best exchange rates at a regular exchange like Strike (or CashApp directly) and moving it to cold storage.

I would rather not discuss politics. Most people are set in their beliefs and no amount of common sense will change that. As an example, people here in California voted to raise the Gasoline and Vehicle taxes. Now all they do is complain that gas is $6 a gallon. That is just a small example of the stupidity of the liberal mind here. Not even get me started on "justice reform."

Help me understand. A hardware wallet generates a seed phrase (random number) via their secure element. What are the chances the same hardware wallet generates the same random number if millions of people buy the same hardware wallet? I get there's 1 in whatever chance of it happening. But with Bitcoin becoming so popular and with people generating hundreds of seed phrases from only 2048 words via software wallets etc. What are the chances?

I'm happy waiting. Their products are the best in the space and I trust the company. Not a lot of innovation in the space otherwise. My biggest issue with Bitcoin and other cryptos is the reliance on exchanges. It's hard to put your entire net worth in cold storage to then have to convert it, pay crazy taxes again, just to pay your power bill.

The devices with Beta firmware have already been shipped to influencers in the Bitcoin community. They should be getting shipped to regular plebs soon. Pre ordered mine really early and haven't heard anything yet.
