Agreed, I prefer the sound of… “unlocking the Nostrverse with microapps and decentralized websites” over the sound of “Nostr 2.0” 🌌
Lately, I've been thinking about how to give Nostr large-file storage and syncing without delay attacks in a way that's optional and backwards compatible. I don’t want to start all over with Nostr 2.0 either!
I've found a way to port Nostr atop everything we're working on… by simply storing Nostr notes as leaves in our Merkle tree/DAG storage system.
I'll rename this improved storage and syncing system to something other than Nostr 2.0. 🐝
It will empower Nostr rather than compete with it. Thanks for hearing it out… ideas take time to evolve and conjoin. Just know we're working every day. We will release all details when the code is working.

Funny. I joined a stream last night for the first time cause it was named after an old friend of mine, Omar.
Every inconvenience is an advertisement… a payment blocked, a post banned, a logo replaced — it all advertises bitcoin and nostr in a way that preaching their benefits can’t.
The excessive power of an authority is usually ignored by most until the authority overreaches. Maybe Elon knows this and is playing a long game — I can only wish.
There are many distractions on the road to perfection in science, but the fruit are born out of combining iterations to extract the best of all worlds without the security risks and false assumptions.
Explain how Git itself is a Merkle Tree/DAG.
Thanks for teaching everyone watching. They’ll need it! A storm is coming. 🌩️
No, proof-of-stake is trash. Do not mention that either. Give me 1 paragraph that explains the principle of unforgeable costliness without mentioning proof-of-work or POS. Be compact and precise.

Explain how merkle branches solve delay attacks when users want to download large files from nodes they don’t trust.
Explain how Nostr relies on mutual relays for relay discovering, but how that model lacks synchronization (the C in the cap Theorem) due to the relays never talking to each other.
@gpt3 tell me why IPFS is not trust-minimized due to it relying on bootstrap nodes. Explain how the bootstrap nodes are a central point of failure that bitcoin does not suffer from and how trusted IPFS gateways do not solve this problem.
