You can export your vault as JSON. This is what is synced to Firefox/Chrome.

Thanks. But I must confess that I learned (and copied) a lot from nos2x when I wrote #Gooti. I felt it was the right time for a new extension with a little better UI and multi profile support.

Just stumbled across Gooti in Chrome Webstore (using it in Chromium with local vault). Very good so far!

I was a bit confused how to switch identities until I figured out that's what the star is for. Maybe you can make it even more obvious. How about just having left und right arrow navigation on the top in the "You" screen?

So it looks like if I approve each message one at a time clicking the "just once" button, everything works fine and decrypts each message.

But if I click the "Approve" button to allow all of them at once, it hangs.

This is the line it hangs on:

I am currently living and working in Germany and I can say it is an interesting time. Especially with the elections coming up this weekend.

I don't think the majority already gets it, but more and more people are speaking up and demand change.

Support for NIP-44 is now available in version 0.0.4. The Firefox extension is already up to date, Chrome is still pending review by Google (usually and unfortunately always takes a few days).

The nsec is encrypted and stored in your browser. In case you have activated the sync, the encrypted data is also synced between browser instances.

i dont use sync but i just like gui/perms controls. its working pretty good w test key, i need to let it soak in before i trust with my nsec. i browsed your nostr profile, youve been here a long time but in the nostr shadows 😎 what made you all of a sudden create best signing extension? 😂

I needed a multi-identity test setup myself and could not find any extension for that at all.

So I said: Ok. I will write my own extension

I liked the idea of learning something new, since I never developed an extension before.

And then I thought: If I will do this, let me try to create something good that others might also work with. Make it a challenge and see how far I can go.

After reevaluating my current approach, I have decided to aim for a broader solution.

This means that #gooti should - and hopefully will - consist of a #Chrome extension, a #Firefox extension and (on top of Chrome and Firefox sync) its own sync service for those who want to use it.

That sounds like the right approach to me, even if it's much more complex in the end.

I can even think of integrating "bring your own sync server". But one step at a time.

Chrome extension will be the first step.

Thank you. I have just brought the initial version online for #Firefox and #Chrome that handles basic functionality for multiple identities.

Will concentrate on the sync functionality next.
