Yea would be nice but it's hard to. Where I live theres nothing with bitcoin. No stores, banks, nothing. So as nice to invest I look at it like buying stock I can't do nothing with it except hold on. But I need to setup a self custodial wallet so i'm in charge. Needs better pc & more money to handle electric spike. Buy cold storage needs $300 for one. Like everything else it's a big upfront to get started & then okay in 10 years how am I gunna cash out without anyone knowing & still live like those billiionaires.

Some noise in dev circles: Peter Todd wants to lift the cap on how much data can go into an OP_RETURN. Right now it’s limited by policy, not consensus, so removing it wouldn’t break Bitcoin, it’d just open the door for more creative use.

Ordinals wouldn’t care (they use Taproot). But Runes and other Bitcoin-native DeFi experiments? They could thrive with less hacky workarounds. More clean ways to embed metadata.

Big picture? Bitcoin becomes more programmable not just “ultrasound money.”

Under British rule, people were taxed without representation and the system was built to benefit a distant king, not the people themselves.

Today’s system is a different flavor of the same problem: centralized power growing off the backs of the people who actually create value.

Once the government got the legal right to dip into your income (hello taxes)…It was game over.

Projects, agencies, wars, and programs all exploded.

So did political salaries and corruption.

The government went from servant to master.

And they used your money to do it. You aren’t pissed enough.
