I was going to try carbon steel(?) next. The weight of cast iron is a pain in the elbow tendonitis.
Really satisfying to get a nice crisp on it without having a ton of oil sizzling everywhere!
I originally tried an overnight dry brine in the fridge, but that was overkill (and maybe turned out too dry). Just pat the filets dry, salt both sides (get good coverage but should only be a bit more than you'd usually season with), and let it sit out until you cook it.

Cast iron pan skills getting pretty solid!
* Dry brine for a few hours at room temp on a wire rack, skin side up
* Let the pan get hot, add a bit of avocado oil
* Dab a little oil on the skin side
* Start it skin side down
The dry brining helps a ton! Pulls the moisture away from the exterior surfaces. Previously the skin would always stick and pull away. Now it's beautifully sliding in the pan as if it were an ice rink!

Yes, when I get the chance I'll write up steps!
Though those improvements were added by nostr:npub1rfd0hxdzcze6pzj29thuz34vur57wm9quje7w3edxjgusq6m47csnl7wrt as part of his reproducible build work!
My PR just shaves a few secs off the app's startup time after the OS is already up.
About 14s from power connected to launch screen!
Opsec, bruh!
(not really; I'm sure it's pretty easily doxxable)
I support absolutely any life choice nostr@npub1qg8j6gdwpxlntlxlkew7eu283wzx7hmj32esch42hntdpqdgrslqv024kw makes.
Programming a new front door entry code for you right now.
On a mini vacation, but stayed in this AM to get some work done to keep the @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl v0.7.0 release moving forward! I'm one of the bottlenecks at this point so I gotta keep feeding our eager dev team with merge-ready PRs!
v0.7.0 is going to be a massive, massive step forward (even if most of the changes are invisible to the user)!

Techniques for managing and signing geographically distributed keys for a multisig would be an awesome workshop nostr:npub1tv8gmfhalwnxxquxjzeh6gtdsdz6vg7vx0s3rt7s7uuw6aujh32qn77wn2. Was that incorporated into your workshop from the other month?
No, but would be a good discussion! Lot of options and tradeoffs.
But have you done a remote QR-only cosign where you send and receive animated QRs as videos?
Cosigner doesn't even need any wallet software. Record the psbt's animated QR and securely send it to your cosigner. They scan it, review tx details on their @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl , sign.
They record the animated QR of their signature and send that video back. You show that QR to your coordinator software and broadcast.
My usual sched: no breakfast, but 3-egg omelet every day at noon.
Looks like 9.25¢/kWh would be break even at today's price & hashrate. Home miners can't really expect a profit that way, but if you're using the heat to offset the cost of running your furnace in the winter, then the math swings much harder in your favor.
This past winter, even running old S9s were more or less break even since I didn't have to run my furnace at all which saved me something like $150-200 a month.
Ya, could unleash lots of 110V space heater innovation. Dunno how the ROI math will work out, but def worth playing with. Should get 2-3x the hashrate w/a single s19 hashboard vs an S9 at the same power draw!
This is a big f'n deal for Bitcoiners mining at home.
She's pretty much always chilling in her "co-pilot's" seat while I'm coding, so of course!
Testing a HUGE quality-of-life improvement in upcoming @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl v0.7.0: much faster live preview framerate! Courtesy of @npub1rfd0hxdzcze6pzj29thuz34vur57wm9quje7w3edxjgusq6m47csnl7wrt ! Going from an unacceptable ~1.8fps (in our current v0.6.0) to a more than good enough 5.8fps!
@npub1kumadawgefxjt2c293whsan5sfmdg5tylm0uk39enc6uxxfy5m4scrz2v7 should really be way more impressed.

In ~2nd grade I had a Vietnamese friend whose actual first name was Dung, but thankfully we were all too young to be aware of the word's meaning. But this writer's name would've absolutely slayed all of us.
