More like "head breaker" I think. Similar to our "brain teaser".

The word in Spanish for "jigsaw puzzle" is delightful.

Shoutout to nostr:npub1tv8gmfhalwnxxquxjzeh6gtdsdz6vg7vx0s3rt7s7uuw6aujh32qn77wn2 for helping mod my power supply at #ChicagoBitDevs this week. #HomeMiner

Wasn't my prettiest soldering job ever, but it successfully powered up when we fed it 120V!

Bamboo!! It's awesome.

Bought p2p in person in El Salvador with nostr:nprofile1qyfhwumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetn9uqjqamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehkgetjw4hxuetjwvhxuet5wahhy6e0qydhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnnv96xsmmpwfjx2u3wvdhk6tcpzdmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82c30qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yvewv3sk2erpd36hxmrpvfeju6t09uqzpdgj0gyv7vmpvf6gqzjrs7yp48ucup9ecdc3d6fdu5jsfxrrt3pz0qk7ce completing the custom build! And I think he even gave me the FOSS bro discount!

He has a couple variations: illuminated displays, different faceplates, etc. So he had to cobble together the specific combo I wanted.

Lots of people manage to land commercials but obv very few break through.

Knew a guy who was a recurring character in Band of Brothers. A good friend was a sailor in a Target ad! Another was EVERYWHERE in 3 different national commercials all at the same time for a brief period in ~2012.

But I mostly know stunt / circus people so you see their work but wouldn't ever recognize their faces, especially if they're working as stunt doubles (e.g. Buffy's stunt double for the first ~3 seasons is a friend). A bunch get work in video games, esp for mo-cap. Another girl is a contortionist so if you ever see someone folded in half, it's always Bonny!

If you live in LA long enough, you start recognizing people you know in movies and on TV.

Started watching Skeleton Crew last night and was happily surprised to see that one of my friends was the first extra killed in the show! 🤣

And then only after seeing the credits did I realize that ANOTHER friend was in the same ep!

Jack is a world-class juggler. Basically any time you see juggling in a Hollywood production, odds are pretty good that it's Jack. I should've known.

OF COURSE he was the juggling holographic poodle!!! 🤣

Some #BTClock repo mirrors:

https://git.rof.tools/mirrors/btclock_v3

https://git.rof.tools/mirrors/btclock-webui

https://git.rof.tools/mirrors/btclock_v2

The firmware binaries depended on GitHub Actions workflows so they are not yet on there, but of course you can compile everything yourself

Okay, I have built the latest v3 firmware (holy hell, PlatformIO made it so easy!!!) and flashed it to my hardware. I've also completed the webui steps to build the littlefs.bin.

BUT... how do I upload the webui to the hardware?

Much like my woodworking, I CAN make quality products, but I'd have to charge about 10-20x what they're worth to justify the time!!

If you want to pay $5k for a not bad bookshelf or $250 for a good but not inspiring loaf of bread, I'm your guy!

Last night's experiment:

40% whole wheat

3% flax

90g sun-dried tomatoes

60g shredded parmesan

2 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Extras folded in after bulk ferment during pre-shaping.

Tastes pretty dang good!!!

But next time:

* MOAR rosemary and parmesan.

* Add the rosemary at the beginning.

* Maybe add the parmesan at the beginning (adding the cheese late prevented the folds from sealing together, creating too many gaps)? Would the acidic(?) tomatoes affect the fermentation?

* Would have used rye if I had any on hand.

I posted a note yesterday from Coracle BUT I think for some reason my browser tab didn't have nos2x enabled. That post never got out, but I didn't see an error when sending.

Is it possible that Coracle just silently sat on it without a notification?

Back home after 12 days in El Salvador.

Apologies, but I was mostly quiet on nostr due to some limited connectivity.

* Airbnb internet connection was dead for basically the entire second half of my trip. 🙁

* nostr:nprofile1qy38wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yvp39e3k7atww3jhycmvda3kkamfwdjju6t09uq3jamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3k7mfwv96j7qgewaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3exzarf9e3k7mf0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytndw46xjmnewaskcmr9wshxxmmd9uq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3xzmny9uqzqcx4xe6lql0wne7h0ygwlfzxstv8edfjxya6v6u0g3yavjghy2tt0hg6xm worked great but not gonna stream tons of content in/out of nostr over a pay-as-you-go data plan. Local cell network was ~$7.50/GB. I did YOLO back into nostr at the airport and holy shit did I eat up my remaining data balance fast!!

Also, I still use twitter and think of it as my "work" account. And this trip, even the non-bitcoin site seeing and whatnot, all felt appropriate for my "work" audience since El Salvador is such a big part of the bitcoin story.

Also, you can play around with how it looks like at https://ws.btclock.dev it is compiled from the actual C++ code with emscripten to WebAsm so any features/bugs in the code of the actual clock appear there as well

Is there a repo / instructions for how to run this in local dev? My C++ is gonna be so bad, I need to be able to run my terrible code, see the disaster, and rapidly keep iterating.

nostr:npub1tv8gmfhalwnxxquxjzeh6gtdsdz6vg7vx0s3rt7s7uuw6aujh32qn77wn2, I just stumbled across your Proxmox bcore/fulcrum/mempool container guides on Github. Just set up my own. Appreciate you! 🫡

Awesome! Definitely run Proxmox Backup Server, too!

Absolute JOY to see my wonderful friends k9ert and Moritz of Specter Wallet fame!
