It’s interesting because what’s true in science is what works best to explain phenomena, and so it’s not surprising many would just take as truth what works best for them socially and professionally. It’s the same mechanism at work, only they’ve outsourced their reality by one layer.

I guess you can’t delete on Nostr

I wonder how much supply that’s for sale under 100k, under 1M even exists. We see the price it trades at but that’s only the marginal buyer/seller. Some people will never sell, especially if it starts to run. If a country wants 50k or 100k, not sure where they would get it.

NYT flat-out admitting journalism is no longer in its customers or masters’ interests: the bosses don’t want you to know and the readers don’t want to find out.

Moving from Twitter to NOSTR is like leaving your wealth behind to emigrate to a free country

My attempt at resolving the debate re whether we’re heading for inflation and deflation:

Maybe this is a stupid question and you just keep the key on paper offline *except* when using an app. Just seems like someone running the app could see it. Sorry to tag you two in particular — just happen to be the only people I know of who I thought might know.

Want to stop using Twitter and move to NOSTR. One issue is figuring out private key management. It safe to have on Damus or other apps? Would never put BTC private keys into an app on my phone, for example. Any thoughts on/links to best practices? #[0] #[1]. My account isn’t worth much now but I’d like to avoid getting rugged later.

I have been off Twitter for three days. Nostr only. One key is to have news feeds like #[0]. The more who cross-post here, the more quickly it’ll obsolete other social media which has become most people’s news source.

Most of my Twitter followers/follows are not bitcoiners. Virtually none of them are here. Wonder if it’ll catch on beyond Bitcoin. I get the excitement among bitcoiners but not sure how anyone will see your posts if you don’t already have a Bitcoin following.
