tonight's mood:
Silverado : Cheap Silver
A song wistful of days gone by with a gathering of old friends letting the night remind them of how times change but real friends don't.
I've always equated the biggest decisions made in my life to bungee jumping. There's a countdown for you to reconsider everything that lead up to that moment... as it goes 3, 2, 1... and you make the commitment. At that point there's no turning back. You may bounce back or go splat but you're a long for the ride that decision lead to.
But I heard all these guys get girlfriends when it moons!
College move-in days are fairly controlled chaotic systems.
um... guess you're iOS? because Android is nothing but 3rd party apps for podcasts (unless YouTube, but frankly that's overkill for what is essentially audio). I'm completely stoked over how nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 is developing and I don't mind that most of the time it's not live but later replay.
oh... next time. served with eggs over easy, and protein pancakes.

When you have to dip out to grab a smoke... you know these places all look the same and it feels familiar.

just finished it... good interview... but why can't I find you onnostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5? that's how I stream most of my podcasts these days.
Getting Zapped is the best! Just know that if you zap me it's all going back to strengthen the ecosystem: To developers, a relay, and CDNs.

My social media journey in order (don't think I'm missing any but probably am)
- BBS
- IRC
- UseNET
- phpBBs
- Flickr
- Digg
- YouTube
- Rumble
What we see is an increasing centralization and commercialisation from Flickr (bought out by Yahoo) where the users gave up not just content but wouldnuktimately be tracked by Facebook and Google everywhere they went, everything they did, all in the aim of crafting the general public's mindset (oh, it's just advertising? Advertising is propaganda!)
I killed, or the services died, almost all of the above. Still use Reddit for specific searches. Still check Xitter because of its reach and "news" content (ie, holy crap ₿ just dumped, why? Who did something? Xitter usually has a consensus answer before any other sources... For now). Still use YouTube but have Rumble for those who got silenced.
What's not on the list is this protocol here: NOSTR. I am completely loving it. It's taking me back to those BBS/IRC/UseNET days. No spam (yet), no ads, no cookies, user supported (SUPPORT! v4v!), high signal, and that everyday it seems some great one is developing an implementation to replace all those enterprises above.
This is the true PBS, brought to you by users like you.
I'm gonna bet they're using Primal and haven't tried other clients. Primal is brutal for setting up wallets (many issues on email confirmation denying request) on client and won't connect to anything else (nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm is still invite only... speaking of which? got any invites?)
I've used Amethyst for a while now with WoS but also have Speed Wallet and then theres nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5. Also playing with FreeFrom. nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg falters on zapping others without being able to connect. Fine for receiving. And they all have strengths and weaknesses. All these hookups show is how early we all are. But it's all getting so disjointed.

I took your advice and built a gif nostr companion app:
You can download the PWA to your home screen, search for your gif, copy the address and paste it into your client
On the back end, for every gif that gets copied/clicked, an API request is made to upload to nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 by nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w
From there a nip94 request is done so that the content can be accessed by any client in the future
Now, anyone who searches for gifs using this tool is also helping to build the gif repository for nip94 and adding fallback urls to nostr.build
And all they did was click to copy #gifs

let's test this going waaaay back...

hey, it's better than the "Simpsons Predicted" stories where some want to block the sun during the day for "climate change reasons".
The Tall Man just appearing in the seeming endless white crypt shouting "Boy!" and those orbs!
Let me know how you like Event Horizon. it's just a space movie... nothing more. nothing weird or anything...
