Speculators play an important role in markets. They provide consistent demand and liquidity so that when someone really needs an asset, it is readily available to them.
I see us as freedom speculators. Even though we're mostly just saying Pura Vida, good morning, posting memes, and zapping each other back and forth, we are providing a consistent demand for the continued development and maintenance of the infrastructure. So when the time comes where a means to communicate freely is needed the most, nostr will be available and accessible to those individuals who need it.

Does it have to overcome it, which would imply a level of user friendliness that your grandmother could use, or is it ok if its reach is smaller. I'm of the opinion that it doesn't need to be #1, it just needs to have quality people and quality content and have enough engagement to make it worthwhile.

I use Strike about 3 - 4 times per week to send dollars to on-chain BTC in my cold storage and to pay lightning invoices, it's just the other way around that doesn't seem to do what I want it to do. Strike is amazing, but would be even better if I receive sats instead of dollars.
Every time I send sats to my strike.army address it converts it into dollars. I can't find a setting anywhere to change this. Anyone know how to fix?
