There's a cute delusion floating around these days. People are calling adult males men. The problem is, just because your body matured, it doesn't make you a man. Most of these 'men' are actually just boys that are stuck in their teenage years, playing video games, masturbating, behaving irationally, eating junk 'food', taking no responsibility, not doing what they say, smoking/drinking, seeking pleasure, and doing other meaningless stuff... the exact same stuff teenage boys do.
Think about it. What are YOU doing? Are you a man, or just a boy?
Everyone I know who runs, looks and feels much younger than they are. Running is a very beneficial natural process for humans. If you want to be forever young, RUN!
The system will always try to shape us to be useful to it. The information and narratives we're given teach us how to behave, how to obey, what to think, what’s good, and what’s bad. No one wants us to be smart or strong... The role we've been assigned is that of SHEEP.

When you drive a Ferrari, it signals that you are adapted and are doing great in your environment. It may be because of two reasons: your dad bought you the car or you made the money and bought it. And while it signals that you are doing great, reality is uncertain.
In the same way, when you have a great muscular body, you signal that you are strong and adapted to the environment. And it may be because of two reasons: you are genetically healthy and did incredible work, becoming strong and athletic, or you used drugs. And while, it signals that you are strong, but reality is uncertain.
But in both cases, they did the work and achieved their results, right? Nope. Without the father, the first guy would drive a Corolla, not a Ferrari. And without drugs, the second guy would look good, but not extraordinarely jacked. 
If you're not a world-class guitarist, your way of playing guitar is wrong and inefficient.
If you're not a world-class basketball player, your way of playing basketball is wrong and inefficient.
If you're not a millionaire, you don't understand money.
If you're not healthy and athletic, you don't understand health and fitness.
You are stopping yourself from achieving success because instead of learning and experimenting to understand how it works, you're doing it your way...
Our organisms are different, and we have different individual physiological characteristics. Our bodies react differently to different stimuli, foods, poisons, environments.
You can't just do and eat whatever your favorite fitness influencer does to become like him. You can try... but...
A better working way is to understand how it works and try it yourself. And it takes time and determination.
But if you just want it fast, and without doing anything, just pay them... Buy something 🤡😅

We usually do whatever we can do and avoid whatever we can't. It's a pretty logical strategy... for pandas. For men, it is the worst strategy.
A better strategy would be doing whatever you need, even if you can't, and avoid useless things, which you most likely can do. 
There is no point in trying to learn if you look at everything through your limited delusional worldview. Learning happens when you open your mind and try to see things differently.
Stop defending your beliefs! If you learn, you need to listen and try to understand.
If you want to progress and become successful, you need to drop all the inefficient mechanisms and beliefs that are holding you back. If it harms you or doesn't help to move forward, stop it.
Stop convincing yourself that you need the dumb stuff you do, or that it's hard to stop, or that you're scared... Leave all the explanations for weak lazy dorks, you are strong and intelligent, so behave like it.
Search for ways to do whatever you need instead of explaining why you can't do it.
Everything is much simpler, actually. We are just used to bitching about things like little cowards instead of doing whatever is necessary and winning.

Being proud of yourself and your purpose is a rewarding thing...
The person you think you are is an image you try to maintain. If the person you want to become is different, your body will resist the change and sabotage your efforts.
You need to change that image. Accept yourself as the person you want to become. This is you — already. Now, whatever you do, your body will push you toward your 'new' self.

We are all different and have unique physiological characteristics. We’ve lived mediocre lives for many years, and our bodies have adapted to that.
Now, we’ve decided to change and pursue greatness, but it will take time. The body may start changing in months, but it will take many years to reach its full potential.
It could take 10 years of intensive work to reshape your skeleton, muscles, skin, nervous and digestive systems, mind, and tune the hormonal balance. All these systems are involved in survival and reproduction, and they will improve if you push them.
To succeed on this long, hard, but exciting journey, we need to make it our lifestyle. We need to become the kind of person who strives for excellence in everything. It should come from within, from our very DNA.
