Amethyst fails me on battery life. I had to uninstall it. 😞
Sadly, with the current state, I recommend custodial lightning and self-custodial on-chain only, based on amount. Everything else is too confusing for normie users. Fees are generally too complicated.
Be a builder, a creator, not just a hypestr. Keep adding value.
This article will help you understand the fees related to UTXO size. Feedback is welcome.

Money printing seems plentiful in the moment. The long-term consequences will leave most people wanting. Plan accordingly with some hard assets. #Bitcoin

Generated my first BOLT12 offer using the Core Lightning UI. Anyone able & willing to send a tip for testing?
If you DCA your bitcoin directly to cold storage, you may want to consider consolidating UTXOs while fees are low. Here is a good demonstration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krrUQGMKhPo
Good write-up. In addition to what you say here, more attention needs to be paid to UTXO fees. Multiple small UTXOs can result in a high percentage of the UTXO's value being consumed by the fees.
Don't be conformed to our current culture. "Peculiar" is better.

CANSEE act targets financial privacy. If you listened to the recent Stephan Livera podcast, you also know that #AML is not working as advertised. Continue to fight the tyranny.

A classic. The Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 Linux+Qtopia handheld.
This note from nostr:nprofile1qqs0m40g76hqmwqhhc9hrk3qfxxpsp5k3k9xgk24nsjf7v305u6xffcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsq3yamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vgrzmld5 (comment from nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz8nhwden5te0dehhxarj94ex2mrp0yhxummtda6xzun09e3k7mgpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqe9c4e8 ) inspired me to tell a portion of my business story. The Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D (developer model) was introduced in 1999 as a Linux handheld with Qtopia GUI. My cousin and I both bought one and joined the Sharp developer challenge. In our category of device drivers (CompactFlash cellular connection and barcode scanner), we won the challenge and Sharp eventually asked us to provide their developer support service in the US. This launched SDG Systems as a side business.
In 2004, Sharp released the SL-6000 targeted to business customers. In many ways, it was a device ahead of its time. Sharp did not have enough volume to justify staying in the US market. In late 2004, they told their existing customers, "If you want to continue with Linux mobile devices, work with SDG Systems." One of those companies, 10East, started us on a journey of porting Linux to the TDS (now Trimble) Recon and several other devices. SDG became my full-time occupation.
In 2009, when Google released the open source version of Android, we ported it to the Trimble Nomad which was, to our knowledge, the first port of Android to a rugged handheld device. I think my preoccupation with the mobile revolution made me ignore #Bitcoin in the early days, but that's another story.
While we no longer port Linux or Android, but pivoted to being a SaaS and software consulting company, SDG Systems has been a great journey for me, and I thank God for his provision for all of these years.
All of us: keep fighting for freedom. More will choose it.
