I can see birds flying happily in the sky through the window. It is good.

leaves with different growth strategies, same plant. to allow light through? never noticed this before.

i still have a mental list of reasons to remain a nonsmoker that I reference, in case that helps anyone.

Researched conscious control over autonomic functions and stress relief techniques a bit.

Really wish there was a TV Guide for nostr. What can i click on and watch live right now? WoT. Might just be a calendar and have events too. But I'm picturing a Sportscenter scroll or widget.

Same reason public schools suck, good musicians leave the industry. And trending/top music is often based on a) connections b) payola c) network effects from established influencers d) fake numbers / botfarms. But there is great music out there, it just isn't always being created by the artists who choose a path through the mainstream. On apps like spotify I have had success finding good music based on what I already like, much more than the radio. There's real musicians no one has heard of all over the world.

I vibe coded myself a daily checklist that I need, then allowed myself to dream that perhaps my kids might use it someday LOL. I'll be doing well if I look at it every day!

So may people to thank...

yea cool.

the backstory is basically about https://catallax.network ... I had originally written the NIP before I built anything and realize after the fact that that's exactly backwards. you don't describe an idea and wait for it to be "accepted". It's an open, permissionless protocol: you just do the things you have in mind. they don't happen otherwise.

Thank you, market needs to see it functional in reality for consensus to be possible? Or that there is no benchmark for 'accepted'? Or that an idea of a possibility is not persuasive or compelling enough to encourage collaboration? "Oh, I see, now I'm starting to get it."

I feel like there's a ton of wisdom surrounding this subject that isn't included, and that I'm not quite synthesizing as thoroughly as would be possible with more time and explanation, and so I will think on it a bit and encourage you to write more about it, if that makes sense for you.

https://github.com/nostrability/schemata

Schemata is a JSON event validator developed by nostr:npub1uac67zc9er54ln0kl6e4qp2y6ta3enfcg7ywnayshvlw9r5w6ehsqq99rx. The purpose is to verify JSON events meet spec, and do not break interoperability.

Looking forward to nostr:npub16ux4qzg4qjue95vr3q327fzata4n594c9kgh4jmeyn80v8k54nhqg6lra7 taking on NIP-10, and nostr:npub1xzrkzsrnr83vn7h0udq6tnapwpswy5equlrtkn3nu0e0anlmzynqne0qap porting Gamma Markets marketplace NIP-99 schema.

Schemas are language agnostic, and can be runtime (at compute cost), or just run by the dev.

The benefit is having an more automated and interoperable nostr.

The objective is to create and document schemas for all the NIPs in one easy to access place.

# BOOK LAUNCH!

# The Praxeology of Privacy

v0.1.0 Now Available

I'm excited to announce the publication of **"The Praxeology of Privacy: Economic Logic in Cypherpunk Implementation"** - a complete manuscript bridging Austrian economics with cypherpunk cryptography.

## What Is This Book?

This work proves that **privacy isn't just a preference—it's an economic necessity**. Through rigorous praxeological analysis, it demonstrates that privacy is logically required for rational economic action, property rights, and voluntary exchange.

### The Core Argument

I develop a **Three-Axiom Framework** showing how:

- **Privacy enables economic calculation** (building on Mises)

- **Privacy protects rational discourse** (extending Hoppe)

- **Privacy provides resistance tools** (following Voskuil)

The result? A systematic proof that surveillance systems create the same calculation problems as socialist planning, while cryptographic tools restore the conditions necessary for free markets.

## Why This Matters

For too long, privacy advocates have relied on moral arguments while economists have ignored cryptographic innovation. This book bridges that gap, showing that:

- **Cypherpunks** gain rigorous economic foundations for their tools

- **Austrian economists** discover how cryptography solves fundamental problems

- **Everyone** learns why privacy is essential for human flourishing

## What's Inside

~70,000 words across 21 chapters covering:

- Economic logic of digital signatures and zero-knowledge proofs

- How surveillance destroys market discovery processes

- Cryptographic property rights and enforcement mechanisms

- Practical framework for building parallel economies

- Original theoretical contributions to both traditions

## Download Now

**Complete manuscript available in multiple formats:**

- Light/Dark PDFs for reading

- Summary collection for overview

- Text-to-speech optimized version

- Individual chapters + full archive

👉 **Download here:** towardsliberty.com/pop

## The Best Part

This work is **100% public domain**. Copy it, share it, sell it, modify it—whatever helps spread these ideas.

## Next Steps

- **Researchers**: I welcome feedback, critique, and collaboration

- **Educators**: Use this material in courses and discussions

- **Practitioners**: Apply the framework to evaluate privacy technologies

- **Publishers**: Contact me about formal publication opportunities

I would love to get some serious review before we print the first batch, so please reach out with critique and improvement proposals.

This represents a couple years of research connecting two intellectual traditions that desperately needed each other. I believe it's the first systematic praxeological analysis of cryptography—and hopefully not the last.

**What do you think? Does this framework resonate with your understanding of privacy and economics? Do I make any logical flaws?**

Great work, ambitious! I thought the most value I could add to this project in the time available was to use Clod to summarize and then challenge it for a bit. Hope this is helpful, that's the only intent.

I glanced at news and yawned

Good ol' Clod

There's nothing inherently wrong with using an image of my face to provide certainty of my identity to assure a fair transaction. Hypothetically, it could be the most effective, efficient, cheap, frictionless way to do so. It's what our eyes do naturally. The technology does not necessarily have to save any new data about me , it can conceivably be a device that I own, that creates a comparison with known information about me, signs it, and sends the result of that comparison, not the comparison itself, to the entity awaiting confirmation.. I am opposed to centrally housing data for comparison. However, I can be easily identified by the information that corporations already have saved, and what I have posted on Nostr, personally. For others, the right to choose any other way, or no way, must be defended. There should never be only one set of rules for everyone to transact by. TLDR, not if governments or colluding corporations or militaries or mafias are enforcing it. Maybe, maybe, if it's an open source device that I own. But never mandatory.

Crowdtagging? Might allow a person to filter out the 'flavor of the day' news stories more effectively than keyword.

Yes. I have been thinking that the venue is the entire experience, you walk in and everything is there, provably ungamable. But it could be that a dedicated device could eliminate some, though not all, of the potential vulnerability of playing with strangers. Matching based on mutual interest, provable reputation without being tied to identity two other ways. Or the other way, radical transparency, each individual livestreams themselves in some perpetualtimestamproving stream paradigm. Even so ultimately a local good faith game seems a more viable and sustainable product than an ecosystem that allows and selects for questionable strategy.
