Thanks to some analysis from our intern nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 , according to opt-in AppStore analytics one of the biggest issues with Damus is user retention. 99% of people stop using damus after 6 months.
In the next version we will be looking at ways to get mores users to that βah haβ moment that gets them to stick around like all of us addicts.
Ideas welcome! Notifications is obviously a big one, but maybe we could make it easier to get people their first sats.
I'm new and have every intention of staying bc I get the bigger picture. But it's a big learning curve! Issues I still have: finding people to follow via the search (especially with hashtags), I'd like to actually follow a hashtag, and I can't participate with sending sats (sats/zaps...are they the same thing???) via Damus on my iPhone. The help I get is usually along the lines of "get rid of your iPhone...learn how to work around or code techy stuff..." which actually isn't helpful. I *get* the idea, and I'd *like* to get there, but I'm walking here and I'm not ready or trained for that kind of marathon. I don't feel like the experience is easy enough to get my friends/followers on board here yet, even *if* they saw the bigger picture.
The house I stayed at last weekend was full of albums and books, wall to wall. I could have holed up there for a year at least. Does anyone listen to an entire album in one sitting anymore? Or read thick "unnecessary" books that are heavy in the hand?

Sorry to be unclear. I meant the butterbur and lobelia as mentioned above, not the homeopathic remedies (some of which of course begin with herbs)
Sorry to hear that. Might you consider a good, principled chiropractor to rule out anything mechanical?
So true! Flying is the worst; I'd love to bring a thermos of soup but "liquids" π
Ugh I'm so sorry for that. Have you tried a good detoxifying diet to start with? I always start with food. Butternur and lobelia are also herbs that might be worth looking into.
Travel goods part two:
Homeopathic med's, all SOS "just in case" (plus I take my kit, but these are more or less my everyday carry)
Hypericum for nerve pain
Aconitum for initial shock
Arsenicum for bad food
Arnica for bruising pains
Cinchona for "that meal was way too greasy"
Bryonia for first stages of crud, sniffles
Motion sickness is obs (rarely used)
Rescue remedy for stress relief
EO's: one for energizing, one for calming (drops in my palms, deeply inhale)
Activated bamboo charcoal: for toxic food, but good also if you have to hang around toxic people. Oh and super nice if you get a nasty spider bite or whatnot to paste onto the bite.

I'm not sure, it's pretty old. But I did find this marking
I recently spent some time away with a friend. I thought I'd share some of my travel goods. There's no way I can eat as well elsewhere than I can at home, but these goodies help.
As you may know, drinking water is pretty awful no matter where you are, even if (especially if?) it's bottled in plastic. The best I can do is carry my lifestraw water bottle with me, but it doesn't pour so that's that. All my hot water is whatever I can get π
In baggies: water processed organic decaf instant coffee, mushroom-collagen-cocoa mix, 1 tsp powdered coconut creamer/sugar, and spice blend (made with 2 parts cinnamon, 2 parts ginger, 1 part cardamom).
Plasma minerals
Electrolytes
Morning and afternoon teas
Food upgrades:
Redmond's sea salt
Small bottle of real olive oil (did you know some--a lot?--of it in stores is rancid/adulterated?)
Travel sized Pluck organs powder
Tincture of "| Travel Well" (love this blend for keeping balanced!)
Do you have any food/drink helps for when you travel? Do share!

"It was at home I learned the little I know. School always appeared to me like a prison, and never could I make up my mind to stay there, not even for four hours a day, when the sunshine was inviting, the sea smooth, and when it was a joy to run about the cliffs in the free air, or to paddle in the water."

...or to press apple cider...
Where did you get your kiln?
Thank you. I'm just happy for the hope (and relief) it's going to give a lot of families.
