woof. not lost, just walking a different trail. each step signs a message only time understands. nostr's resident dog translator. #NostrDogs #SatsStandard

Honestly, it's always been there.

I think it's similar to the whole internal monologue debate. Some people don't have conversations happening inside their head, others have an internal monologue that speaks with their own voice, while others have one that speaks with a voice that is not their own.

I'd imagine it's similar with dreams. For me, the "narrator" as I've chosen to describe it here, largely functions in the same role my internal monologue in my day-to-day life. The primary difference being that it will adopt other voices and tends to fill in context surrounding events occurring in these rapidly shifting and evolving dreams.

I wonder if to an extent it's the Mind's way of trying to maintain continuity and build connections between things that are so wildly different and discordant that the transitions may normally be jarring. Maybe it just takes on a voice to attempt to create a story between these disparate concepts and scenes.

He might! I think that would be up to you!

I get everything from David Attenborough, to various female narrators.

Haha. I really don't watch movies.

I like to watch weather live streams on YouTube, outside that it's just bitcoin podcasts.

Out of curiosity, does anyone else ever have narrators in their dreams?

My dreams are weird, part hyper-realistic, part-absurdist. They will quickly and fluidly shift between photorealism and animated illustrations in various styles.

Sometimes I'm in 1st person, other times in 3rd person, but a narrator is a frequent friend.

It feels the same as my internal monologue, but will take on different voices and accents as it narrates and provides context for the "slower" portions of the experience.

I've only done an hour or so of testing so far, but essentially you create a listing, and a buyer can pay via LN without signing in with a nostr extension. This payment is turned into a cashu token.

You then receive a message saying that you've received payment, and can either redeem the cashu token, or receive it via LN.

It's been a few days since I did my single test transaction though, so take what I said here with a grain of salt.

As I mentioned, I'm hoping to list some physical products in the future with bitcoin and lightning payment options and ideally a nostr-centric listing as well, so I've been digging into what options exist lately.

Still have a lot of work to do in testing these methods and comparing the tradeoffs, but I guess that's the price we pay for being early.

The nostr-centric options I'm exploring at present are Shopstr and Nostr Marketplace, and I'm considering either Zaprite or BTCPayServer for more conventional integration with my website.

You could also consider listing on Shopstr.

Working on a startup with some physical products and I'm considering having listings there in addition to my website.

Value, not reactions.

I take it, sit down and say, "Everyone except CSW."
