Seizures can be triggered by all kinds of things. Overexcitement, like at holidays where there are a lot of people around, other animals, fireworks, can set them off. But, like you've experienced, sometimes it's just flaky wiring of the nervous system. A brain short you might say. And because you can't explain it you/we feel worse. It's the same with people.

Uh! I am so confused (which isn't hard when I'm this tired). I've had multiple notices that my attempts at zaps failed, but when I look at a receiver's profile it looks like it went through. Currently using Snort, but had the same issue with Iris.

I hate to hear that. I've had other dogs on Trifexis or Simparica Trio and it worked so well. Was at the vet yesterday and he said the seizure thing would come with any of the internal meds.

In other news. Betty had a seizure 24 hours after her last Trifexis pill. Now, Boxers are known for their tendency towards having seizures and medications like Trifexis can trigger them. So now she can’t take it.

Today Betty and Bob were dosed with Advantix. They are not amused.

Made baked apples a couple weeks ago!

I use a slow cooker. I set it for 8 hours then keep checking on it. I let it cook down about half then add any cinnamon, sweetener or whatever. Then set it for another round. Obviously takes longer but I can do other things.

You got that right! How do you make yours? Stove top, slow cooker, copper pot in the yard?

I remember living in a trailer park in Copperas Cove and laying out in March. That was in the “skin cancer who cares” days of my youth. Sometimes I miss that heat. But, well, asthma. 🙁
