Hey Nostriches! 👋

Just dropped something cool in beta that I think you'll like - https://npub.email. It's basically long-form DMs for Nostr, but with a twist - you can actually bridge it with regular email.

With npub.email you can:

- Write long-form "Letters" (similar to email) to other nostr users

- Get an unlimited amount of your own alias@npub.email addresses to receive email right on your nostr account. Use it anywhere standard email is accepted.

- Send some sats along with your Letters if you're feeling generous (we call this Stamps)

If you want to check out the code or contribute, it's all here: https://git.arx-ccn.com/Arx/npub.email

This is the first of many things that we (the Arx team) will release to - stay tuned for our full Closed Community Networks solution dropping in early 2025! Since it's beta, your feedback would really help shape where we take this!

This nostr app is like a stamp of honor you can proudly display to the outside world.

Help grow and build the nostr community - and get your fam ready for our next launch of Eve - a full closed community network solution!

Always down for feedback and ideas.

CoinOS works great. The main dev is super helpful and responsive. Were you using Mutiny on the web? Some people have concerns about the security of web wallets and it is not self-custodial, but if you are comfortable with those risks/trade offs it is a great option right now.

Open source, no programming required to setup. Just download the release for your system and run it.

plz boost. I don't have exposure like the big npubs here 😢

Would this work as a way for those behind the Great Firewall of China to access banned news from the West? Is Nostr accessible in China?

These blobs are living in poverty, adopt one for less than a dollar a day.

every time i use chachi.chat, which is awesome by the way, reminds me of a family wedding about 10 years ago.

after the wedding reception ended. we went back to the hotel and commandeered the hotel bar and turned it into one hell of an after party. we took over the entire hotel bar and lobby area. music was bumping. drinks were flowing. good times were being had. our wedding party and family of roughly 50 people were having a blast.

then a random guy showed up at the bar. he watched me buy a round of shots for about 12 family members and he wanted one.

i included him and got him one. he told me that his name was 'Chachi'. he said that he wanted to do another round and he would buy the next round.

after that round, i told him he was now part of the family. so, he bought everyone a third round. i told him some stories, as you do when you're drinking. (have we drank alcohol together? you will understand this part of my personality. im a story teller.)

this Chachi guy was just like me, a real partier, a real story teller, he became my new best friend. we were making sure everyone was having a good time. walking around to every little group, mingling.

my aunt comes up to me and tells me she's very impressed how i got some random guy to buy 2 rounds of shots for all of us. i said, i bet if i buy another round, he'd buy another round of drinks for everyone. i was confident he'd do it. after all, he was like me.

i bought another round and sure enough, he bought the next.

things at this point get a little blurry at this point...

long story short, the next morning when we came downstairs to get breakfast, Chachi was sleeping on the hotel lobby couch.

classic Chachi.

we had a good time discussing the previous night's happenings, laughing, reminiscing, and saying our goodbyes.

i was a little sad that i'd never see Chachi again. after all, we got along so very well the night before.

about 2 months later, one of my cousin's saw Chachi at a bowling alley. she went up to him saying calling Chachi, Chachi, etc. his friends looked at him like who the hell is this random girl yelling at you a name that is clearly not your name.

LOL!

classic Chachi.

Now I'm skeptical. Is your name really Derek?

Cash in the mail with Bisq is the most private. With CashApp and RoboSats you can share only your display name with the other party, but obviously you've already done KYC with CashApp and that info is available if the seller turns out to be an operative or CashApp gets subpoena'd.

How about taking a % of paycheck as cash and work on building a no KYC stack as well? I see a lot of custodians and a lot of KYC in this chart.

Thought provoking, I like it. Tangential, but those posts about Communists being hypocritical make me shake my head. They don't give a fuck, they only care about rules and morals to the extent that they can control their opponents with them. Pointing out their hypocrisy is meaningless to them (they don't feel shame) and similarly can be demoralizing to the side of order (who do feel bound to rules and morals).
