Muting a thread of event A is not displaying any event containing event A's id in its tags.
In order to keep it stored as NIP-51 Nostros just creates a custom list of events with the name 'mute' (the same as Damus so both should be compatible).

That's only possible if the clients doesn't care and validate the service public key. Maybe what you are seeing a workaround implementation where the validation of the zap is skipped.

Love the concept of eventual inconsistency, and it's growing with the network, I'm pretty sure in 1 year this is going to be even crazier

Now users can search for events by using their public key. Additionally any note with the input in their content will be also displayed. If the user starts the input with @ a list of users will be displayed.
This Search is queried in Nostros' local DB so users can find any kind of old notes as long have been seen by the app at least once.

We got a report that one of Nostros' libraries had a dependency on proprietary software. After some investigation it appears to be related with the QR reader so I'm disabling it until we find an open source alternative.
