The part about not freezing things in freezer bags is a bit shocking. That's going to take some lifestyle changes.

That's an interesting concept. The fermentation of 1 pound of glucose yields about 1.6 cf of CO2. I'd have to have to crunch those numbers to see if the benefit is worth giving up green house space.

The other challenge would be temperature stability. We make kit wine, and the instructions usually say that fermentation should take place between 68-77F. If you had a green house that stayed below 68, I suppose you could add some supplemently heat to the fermentation vessel and manage it that way.

My grandad used to let Guinea hens free range around his property just to get rid of ticks.

Wow, that's like getting a hundred pack of CD-RW's for 75¢.

It's easy, insist on it anytime someone offers Cashapp.

As in, there are snowplows stuck in the ditches on both sides of the road? Or some other context?

They call it that in Wisconsin too.

Slap the thigh and ride the wave!

I know of a lady that used to do that. One morning, she didn't feed them fast enough and an eagle came and took it. It sliced her hand open badly and smeared carion in the wound in the process.

She went to the village clinic, they told her hell no you need to go to the hospital. Unfortunately this was during a snow squall, it was too rough to boat to the city and there was a foot of snow on the airstrip. She ended up waiting around for the better part of a day for it to get plowed to charter a flight out. Luckily she had enough weed to dull the pain.

I just had an eagle land in my yard, that's unusual.

It's more like 7-10 yards. You are definitely going to have some adrenaline on board.

Bear bells absolutely work too. I have seen drone footage of a bear walking up a trail, hearing bells from 1/2 mile away, leaving the trail until the people pass, then going back to it's business.

The bears are awake. It you carry bear spray, carry some baby shampoo too. I have it on good authority that this is the best way to clean it off of you if it blows back.

Remember that the carrier for the active ingredient, capsaicin, is oil. When the pepper smell dissipates in two weeks, the oil will remain, creating a bear attractant.

Steve is enjoying the sunshine.

A local pilot aborted a landing to avoid a dog on the airstrip. He stalled, crashed and died along with one passenger. What a shitty way to go. Be thankful for each day folks.
