Would it be possible to add a trial period were user are filter also with the number of "mute/block/signal as spam value". It will allow new user to prove they are here and not spammers.

I know it is not a simple problem to filter spam without excluding new users to respect the free speech here.

And if #nostr wants to grow, it will have to found the good solution.

Another concern would be about the "news" bots, that could be considered as spam by users (when they are new and hadn't a higher rank yet).

It is a kind of trust network that have to born too.

I am not saying ALL coders will loose their job but a huge quantity of them will be concern. The same for lawyer, and any job that is not "manual"...

Why ?

Because it will do a better job than a coder. Not a perfect one. Not a controlled one, but a work that your boss will consider enough acceptable to replace you.

And it is all that matter for business.

I remember, a long time ago, when i had told about security issues when it was not so "fashion" to talk about it. The answer was : "it is just useless to think about it, we will not put any money for theses issues". We know now security of software are very important in a world of hacking, piracy, cyberattacks... The same people would pay for it now they understand the risk.

AI will be used because it will be easy, faster, no resistance, no vacancy... the perfect "employee".

This will seems perfect for boss. But only at the beginning, and why ?

Because the code and action really done by the AI will not be really release in control. It will be a problem for security, and no control of what is really happening in the code.

Facts are here. AI is really growing fast, and not for good reason even if it is what is showed to us with the ghibli picture, or starter pack fun.

You can't say it will just be a tool, it means you don't see how fast it grow.

It will do a better optimized code than you do, play chess better than anyone, translate a huge document in a minute, generate an ads video in few minutes.

It will not be perfect, and "bug" free, but it will be enough for your manager to replace you with it.

I am not so "optimist" about the deadlines, a year is short for this change. But you can be sure it will happen.

The only job that will be free is improving the "interface" between human and AI, like feeding AI, add some rules / limits, try to "control" it.

The jobs that will remain for humans will be the ones that computer can't do at a low cost of resources or energy.

And in past they are example of things that have really changed some jobs :

- All administration job that have been replace with computers

- Tombola Fees are 1% of all tickets amount

- Each ticket you buy give you 1 chance to win all the amount minus the fees

- The winner will be the one chosen by the next BTC block found after this end date 2025-04-15 12:00am UTC AND have a number of block with two ending zero

- The Nonce of the block will be use in a decimal format modulo the number of valid tickets to get the winning ticket number

- The 1% fee will be charged first (outbound transaction)

- The next Tombola Wallet will be open with a transaction of 1 satoshi to it (outbound transaction)

- The winner will have the rest of the amount (outbound transaction)

No. When you buy a lotto ticket you don't ask for a refund just after. There is no support like this, i want to stay completely anonymous, independent, because i want this to keep out of any pressure, and still free for everyone. Anyone can try to win, with a public checking of the rules, and the way i apply and follow them. So double check the amount you send and the wallet address you send it !

- Who are you ?

I can ask you the same ! I'm not a bad person. Like many people here, i think anonymity is the best to avoid any pressure by anyone. Like Satoshi Nakamoto, i think it is like magic when we can be free to trust, share, and use something freely, it should be a basic human right.

- I don't trust you !

For sure, there is a trust issue there on one point only : i have to send the winner his reward. But if i don't, it will be publicly visible and means the end of the trust. And i don't want this to happen until i die (and i probably involve an IA agent or some trustable people to take the lead after me). That's also why i prefer to start with a low amount and increase it, if needed or requested, with time. I want to chain multiple tombolas and increase trust, month after month, and everyone could check i respect the rules i have written.

- Why don't you use github and smart contract ?

To be honest, i don't know how to do it for the smart contract part, and i even don't know if it is possible to do all the process without any human action (because we don't know by advance how many people will participate and the value of the nonce block). If one day i find a way to do it "publicly" (with the secure and privacy concern), i will probably test it before make it for the real tombola. And for the github, it's very easy to understand, i don't trust them. If a "persuasive" someone want them to close an account or give account infos, then it will be the end of the anonymity and for sure the tombola too.

- Why did you do this tombola they are many website faucets / lotteries about it nowadays ?

Because i don't trust them. I mean, they are completely hiding their process. It's easy to say you have loose, without any check possible. With the BTCTT everyone can check who have participate, the way the winner have been choose and the way fees are taken and what the winner get back to his wallet.

- I have sent 0.001 BTC tu buy a ticket but it still in the memory queue of the blockchain after the end date.

Sorry for you, but you have to check that you sent your BTC with the right fee to have your transaction confirmed BEFORE the end date. It is a rule.

You have all the days before the end date to send your BTC to earn ticket, it is not clever to do it just few hours before the end, or with a too lower transaction fees.

- I have sent 0.0005 BTC and 0.0005 BTC from 2 different wallet address but it didn't count me one ticket, why ?

the participation to this tombola is completely anonymous, it means you only provide your wallet address when you send your BTC and nothing else. There is no possibility to know if it is the same person behind 2 different addresses. To be clear, 1 address means 1 person for me. And the sum of amount is done by address to know how many ticket have been pourchase for each address. In your case you didn't reach the necessary amount to buy a single ticket for any of your used address, it finaly means no ticket.

I must stay a game for you, don't spent all your BTC in this tombola, just a few part you can loose (or win more). i've got this idea for few satoshis i have mine a long time ago. It was a small amount, and i wouldn't care to loose them if i could win much more with them. And today i realize this dream.

Be careful of what you do, amount, wallet address, respect the rules. It is a good lesson, because with cryptos, you always have to learn to be careful about that !

They can be some reasons there. Sometimes the BTC network is highly used so the fee are very important, so i can delay some days after the transfer to low the fees transactions, then the winner will have more amount.

If the delay is very huge and all the BTC amont stay there without moving, it would mean i'm dead without any other leader chosen 💀

Of course you could play with other tombola, but because they are not me, you will not be sure they will respect the rules all the time... and it will be easy for them to broke a chain and start a new one... Me i only want to build the longest chain of trust i can !

It's not true and not false... It is a tombola ! it means they are winners and loosers. Of course loosers are not as happy as winners. But the difference is that you can publicly check what's going on here. Check if i have respect the rules i have written. You can check all the process. You can list incoming transactions wallets, list the "valid" tickets, apply the rule to find the winner, and check the outbound transaction to the winner wallet, and the amount. All other consideration is just bullshit and loosers complain.

Because i want to avoid mistake! And it's easier to get all incoming transaction address for the current active tombola if it is only all incoming address in the current wallet.

For the firsts tombola, if the minimum amount of 10 tickets is not reached at the end date, this end date is moved 15 days later (i hope this rule will never need to be apply).
