Yes! Though I still will not want to see violent or abusive content show up in my timeline if there was a way that I had chosen on the client to filter out those tags (especially if little ones are around).

Due to current lack of client side user choice filtering I hesitate to invite a whole group of others to this blossoming new technology. I know many moms who will not abide by such lack of feature. Maybe this is part of why women’s don’t feel comfortable here?

We want a permissions web, but the user should be able to withdraw permission from being exposed to known content types at least by tag (IMO).

FYI the below happened due to a Ui glitch on Nostur for that post

I wanted to notify arkinox the moment I hit at. I lost edit ability to the post. I good preview and saw it tagged him moment I typed “A” but I could preview or edit. I could not return to type. I thought funny if it took his name from just A so I tried to type more of his name. It must have dropped that after the first word. Didn’t see any way out but to post or cancel. So I thought I’d see what I got if I posted. That was it.

May also be interesting to have a toggle that allows you to flip your default algorithm to something close to the opposite of what you normally see. Like a “Dark mode” for content that flips to the inverse of your normal interactions or topics. Maybe need some AI to generate that. Just an idea.

You could still have content filters apply, but look for posts outside your social network normal interactions.

One app has delayed post. Love that with no info button. One seems to fail to post to multiple relays for me, but warns me with feedback. Another makes posts with images more prominent. Another makes long notes more visible. Some treat zaps and reactions differently. One allows many reactions one just single reaction.

It would be nice if these were combined. Or if the libraries to accomplish some of these services were made available to implement like from some open source library so that people could assemble the client they like. Like a #NostrInnerSource community of devs or something.

SaidRkinoxPretty much one word wrong in the entire scene. Swap out fax and you have big pharma working with a powerful mafia like violent actor to silence a whistleblower or data leak. You have Apple Vision Pro plus yeah what nostr:npub1arkn0xxxll4llgy9qxkrncn3vc4l69s0dz8ef3zadykcwe7ax3dqrrh43w

I think if you had clients that implemented that, like clients that implemented more secure chat we plebs would try them. Could it not be that this central Nostr remains a “loud voice” in your truly distributed implementation? But not the only voice and they co exist? And maybe people move over time for those other features like community implementation in client, secure chat, spam and memory drain reduction through outbox improvements etc?

Wow didn’t think to read your profile. My bad. You are into some rocking stuff. Maybe you should be looking for a research grant instead of an employer? 🧑‍🏫🤔

But I’ll think what I may know about. Can you pm me where you’re located: re work?

Maybe some kind of moderator would be a service on a paid relay. And you could find different content moderated out in different paid relays looking at otherwise the same content?

Small amount of sats from paid relay could go to moderators based on activity and satisfaction rating of community?

This keeps mods engaged but not wanting to moderate stuff for sats - as that drops the satisfaction rating of the community?

That is amazing. If true.

What do you think would happen to BTC if we find eventually that Satoshi was a state actor? US or China intelligence or something?

Would that change the perceived value of the work? Or of the output of that work? The BTC currency and network?
