Today I watched a Telugu language movie named "Court: State v A Nobody" on #netflix.

Story revolves around a fake child abuse case against an under privileged boy with a motive of displaying power politics/caste politics. This is still a reality in India. And the common psyche that a boy and a girl always thinks about $3x and nothing else is still prevalent. This movie also discusses how the POCSO Act is being misused. (POSCO = Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012 in Indian Penal Code. This framework establishes special courts for speedy trials. And by definition, anyone under 18 years of age is child. Even if the victim is 17 years and 364 days old when the crime happens.)

Just finished the first season of #WhiteLotus. What a fitting climax for the season!! I felt it a bit lagging in the start. But when the undercurrents started being visible, it was interesting in many angles. The sociological, philosophical aspects and human embodiment of contradictions! Good one.

I have three picks for this category.

First one is obviously Khaleesi Daenerys from a naive little girl to nephew f***. One of the most hated character.

More than that, Shakespeare's Macbeth. Then there is this protagonist in the Malayalam language movie - Joji Panachel. You can draw a parallel between Macbeth and Joji. Both driven by jealousy, greed and guilt. They both have a fitting fall. If you are ok with watching a malayalam movie with subtitle, I would say, you should try it. Worth the time.
