and the higher the number the better to ‘prove’ bitcoin’s decentralization..
I always add “and many thousands of unreachable nodes”, but not as impressive, since its obviously a guess

Agreed, and, hopefully we become better teachers the second time around :)
In my enthusiasm I used to forget to first listen for the person’s pain point and focus on how bitcoin fixes that specifically … then wait for questions etc
Rather I would just rail on and on, without noticing their eyes glazing over until it was too late!
