Disappointing to see Stripe restarting their crypto initiative with centralized chains.

Not that I think anyone will really use this besides web3 degens

I guess the advantage here is that you open up US commerce globally, but doing so with rails that will never hold up in an adversarial environment largely defeats the purpose.

So other than the global aspect — which admittedly is nothing to sneeze at — the counterparty risk is little different from today.

Solana == Visa

They are equally as centralized and censorship-resistant.

For digital assets to succeed, we need solutions and products to win that are properly decentralized, or we are defeated before we really even get started.

A reminder that being ‘on-chain’ or self-custodial means nothing if the chains or networks are centralized

We need to make things right the first time and Stripe putting this crap out there makes it more difficult for our industry to get the credibility and promotion it deserves

We see taproot asset support for USDT — the stable the global south is leveraging — and then we have a different story.

I hope Speed and Joltz keep creating killer products to advance this initiative. The industry needs it 🙏

This is what we are up against

We are bickering over here about fruit and these people are influencing policy

Does it bother anyone else as much as it bothers me when web3ers — especially Coinbase people — that say

“Bringing everyone onchain”

When the “chain” they are talking about is Base which is an L2 that wouldn’t even work today without the support of Coinbase as a counterparty, on a “chain” that is only becoming more and more centralized

Nice

if you keep the double unders unbroken you’ll probably come in under mine but im still happy I split them up because I could really feel my grip on the last round

Was really happy to break 5

Broke up 4 3 3 on the deadlift each set

And 30 20 on the DU to make sure I never failed

Kept breaks short and felt strong so really happy with that one đŸ’Ș

I’ve been carnivore since early 2020 but animal based (including fruit honey and raw milk) for the past 2

I started having severe cramping, my heart would skip beats, I couldn’t sleep deep/ couldn’t sleep past 3am, as well as a bunch of other things

Saladino’s recommendations were completely life changing. I felt amazing initially on carnivore but feel even better now than I ever did on a strict lion diet

Apparently to some this is “my carb addiction” which to me is obviously BS — I work out a lot (CrossFit) and the extra carbs made my workouts so much better

To my fellow carnivores:

Saladino is not the issue. He helped me and frankly I trust him far more than anyone else in the space. It’s obvious he’s acting and working in good faith.

Those that want to demonize meat consumption and tell me how much meat I can eat and force salad and grains in my mouth are the real problem.

Can we stop pointing fingers and team up to the real problem here?

Bro you’ve been carnivore for a year relax

Attacking Saladino is just a bad use of your time

I will scream this from the top of a mountain đŸ˜± adding fruit honey and raw dairy DRAMATICALLY improved my life.

Focus your energy on people demonizing meat not the tiny differences from adjacent people in the space that clearly process stuff differently

I was lion diet carnivore for two years before needing to make adjustments so this talk in absolutes is really tiresome and misleading for a large number of people

I’m nearing the end of Rhythm of War, and I think it goes under the radar of how based Brandon Sanderson is.

In a world where I feel like all you see is either uninteresting (woke) remakes or post-modern muck, Sanderson delivers story after story with heartfelt, impactful narratives that pull at my heartstrings every time.

Not giving anything away — specifically, the conflict between Kaladin and his father at the end of RoW is thought-provoking and, I think, culturally relevant to today’s grander societal issues.

Sanderson’s moral opinions and clarity shine through in much of his work, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they were at odds with much of his audience if spoken about literally.

In the end, it doesn’t matter because his endings usually slap.

His characters can sometimes be a little one-dimensional and flat, but I don’t care.

I love his novels and can’t wait for Wind and Truth.

I’m here in the US but lived in Brazil for a while

But saw this first hand in Mexico a couple of separate times

These “experts” must be stopped
