Apps that have aaaall Music.

That's the dream that can only happen:

- On a permissionless protocol

- If the media is decentrally hosted (Blossom servers + P2P on top)

- If the apps are not companies (nostrocket fixes this)

If you want to build this and maybe go to jail 👉 Let me know!

I see the label "this artist is not on Nostr yet". How would it be verified that the author of that music on Nostr is indeed the author of that music? It seems to me that an app with all the music should not rely on the authors themselves, and anyone should upload content. Otherwise, a centralized authorship check would have to be created.

Very basic right now and I'm not sure if I'll add more in the future, but this was fairly quick and fun proof of concept.

The same can be said for other areas of life. If there is disorder in the mind, it will inevitably be projected outward.

I think all these recommendation feed algorithms are not needed at all. You're basically just giving the algorithm the right to shove whatever it wants into your head. I stopped using algorithm recommendations and social networks built around them a long time ago, preferring to choose the content I consume myself. By the way, this approach helps you get rid of your addiction to social networks and clear your brain of garbage, because now you don't have an endless feed of incoming information that your brain loves so much.

I like the way it's done in Telegram. I choose exactly who to subscribe to and who to read. I only learn about other personalities on Telegram and their publications from those I'm subscribed to, or from other sources outside of Telegram.

And that's why I started developing a unique Nostr client that doesn't require any recommendation feeds.

It scares me how they drive in Thailand and Vietnam, but this...

I only use a MacBook Air M1 because of the lack of alternatives in terms of quality (I mean device, not OS). I would love to use a MacBook with Linux installed, but it performs much worse on Apple chips.

In a way, I dream of a macbook-like device, but with Linux. Thin, minimalist, no active cooling, quality touchpad.

A fool creates clutter to make himself feel tired

Truth. If you can't be happy now, you won't be happy in the future. Dopamine levels always level off to some sort of average. This is also why it makes sense to remove the "easy" dopamine from your life, so that the "ordinary" moments bring more happiness. A bonus is mental clarity

As far as I know, there's a possibility of sending some AI inside the black hole to somehow communicate with us from it. Such a scenario is shown in Interstellar, where they wanted to send a robot inside a black hole. Of course, Interstellar was not without the author's fantasies, but it's kind of possible.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Elon Musk's X doesn't work on Android without Google Services after the latest update. I use GrapheneOS, so I can't use X now.

Are they so eager for me to stop being their user?

I’ve finished reading "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari.

As the title suggests, the book narrates the history of humanity, touching on key moments according to the author. The entire journey from ape to ruler of the world.

- The Cognitive Revolution.

- What sets humans apart from other animals — language.

- Why did other human species like Neanderthals go extinct? What’s unique about Homo Sapiens?

- How did Homo Sapiens wipe out entire animal species?

- The extinction of giants: sloths and kangaroos 6 meters tall and weighing up to 3 tons, flying elephants, rodents the size of bears.

- The Agricultural Revolution—the greatest deception, after which people worked harder, became less active and less healthy, yet couldn’t turn back.

- How do the technological and scientific revolutions drive progress at an incredible pace?

- How did capitalism rise to power?

- How did we arrive at consumerism? Why did the poor once count every penny while kings spent recklessly? Why do the poor now spend carelessly while the elite keep track?

- The global empire and why we live in the most peaceful time in human history.

- How does the unique feature of the Sapiens brain allow us to "outsmart" evolution?

- Are people happier now than in the Middle Ages or during the hunter-gatherer era?

- How can we "bring back" extinct species? Will we soon see living mammoths and Neanderthals?

- Likely problems of the future and the pursuit of immortality. Genetic engineering and other bioengineering methods, the fusion of humans with technology, and "connecting" the brain to the internet.

So it's just an UI problem, right? Do we need a better UI/UX? Why not just "copy" an already proven UI like X's? I've tried several Nostr clients, they although similar to X's interface, are still very different, and none fully satisfy me.
