Those outfits. Costume designer really leaned into the whole “child’s idea of what ‘cool pajamas’ should look like” vibe.

Been eating strictly meat (90% of it beef), eggs, some dairy, salt, and water since the start of December.

Walking into the grocery store is a completely different experience now. You begin to see how full of garbage and poison our food is. Even things as simple as meat, which should be a single ingredient item, have a laundry list of chemicals, preservatives, additives, and other unnecessary flavorings.

Find a local butcher or, better, a farmer, and buy directly from them. Look for grass-fed, grass-finished meat. Cost per pound will be higher, but you know you’re getting by proper unmolested food. And, despite the price, it has been my experience that, at worst, your grocery bills are equal due to the removal of all the other junk that was previously being bought, or, more likely lower.

Was reading The #Bitcoin Standard over breakfast at the hotel bar yesterday. The waiter stops by and ask, “did I see the book you’re reading is about Bitcoin.?” I told him yes and recommended the book.

He said he owned some crypto but not #btc. I told him he should study bitcoin and consider investing. His response: “yeah. I think I’ll wait until the price goes back down.”

I suspect this isn’t an uncommon notion for people who aren’t familiar with bitcoin.

We’ve been told the good guys have won, but modern history paints a different picture. As far back a WWII we have seen a government ready to throw lives away to fund the war industry, print and launder money, and consolidate power/strip freedoms on a global scale.

I don’t disagree that taking away their money prevents this, but I have a hard time seeing how, in the short term that happens. My concern is that by the time their money dries up it could be too late.

To be fair, Toys R Us told us from the jump that they had no intention of growing up. Vanguard does not have the luxury of leveraging the same excuse.

I would recommend neither.

Coinbase has proven time and again to be unreliable (or nefarious, depending on your perspective) when demand is high, with users being unable to buy, sell, and/or access their BTC.

The ETF = you own zero BTC.

Instead: use a hot wallet for small amounts and a cold wallet for your main stack.

Buy on an exchange other than Coinbase: River or Strike are great options.

Hot wallet: Blockstream Green and Muun have been good. Mutiny Wallet is newer but it sounds like it’s being well-received.

Cold Wallet: Blockstream Jade, ColdCard and BitBox are open source options that work very well.

You cannot shield yourself from the consequences of someone holding a harder currency than you. #bitcoin #btc

The optimist and pragmatist in me: this could be huge for locating missing and kidnapped people.

The realist and doomer in me: this will 100% be manipulated to further cow and shackle people under the guise of “security.”

I hope for the former, but know the likely outcome will be the latter.
