This isn’t going to be popular, but the expectation that one should be “compensated” for putting capital at risk in an investment is flawed. This is the basis for “interest”, which is the expectation that one deserves more than was given. Interest drives the requirement for more than actually exists in a physical reality and its my contention that this cannot exist on a bitcoin standard. It was the original reason that I dismissed bitcoin in 2013. Feeding the interest virus is the root of all fiat monetary systems.

Deposits are legally loans you’ve made to them. “Your” money is never possessed directly by you unless in physical cash. It moves between institutions in your name. Offense is in the intent, it’s voluntary. People who are offended actively “take” offense. They could just as easily summarily dismiss stupidity, instead they choose to participate.
So many people are mentally fatigued, but I’m hopeful they realize the importance of uncensorable speech and value transfer. Caveat- my faith in humanity is at an all time low though, post pandemic. I would not be shocked to see ThaaS-Thinking As A Service, offered and accepted by the masses.

Feel like I can’t be a dick, because I dismissed btc back in 2013 thinking banks would kill it. Sometimes our experience and knowledge can work against us. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, after that though, being a dick is totally on the table.
