There was a discussion but not related to the "digits vs. character" thing. It was about the predictions being public. Having a search space between 000 and 999 or 000 and FFF makes no difference in that context. We resolved this by having the participants resubmit guesses via DMs to me, so we got rid of this issue. We considered them.

An example of a valid blockhash was attached though but yeah, should have double checked. Not my native language, shit happens. I assume people understood what I meant anyways

I respect the way you both feel about it but I am still struggling with how having the guesses public & transparent puts you in a disadvantage. The blockhash is 100% random and being the first / the last to guess doesn't change anything about the winning odds. Having said that, I will consider the guesses submitted via DM.
