And people are still waiting for "the year of the Linux desktop!" I imagine something like that might happen in the future. Maybe people will use btc backed stablecoins for everyday payments. But ultimately, I wish more bitcoiners demanded a change. Anything that lets developers build cool stuff and new use cases.

recent events have revealed that more than a few of the more prominent figures are tangled up with some dirty business. people who i and most of my good nostr friends already were shunning. and more and more people are starting to run their own networks as well, and demonstrating the potential for authentic interaction.

i rate it more impactful than LLMs. LLMs have been hyped so hard that they really can't get much higher and the lack of actual productivity improvements that the promoters of it have claimed still aren't eventuating. oh, a small improvement, for some people, who were already the most productive in their field. but aside from vibe coded web apps it's doing nothing but clogging teh internet with derivative, hallucination filled garbage that is absurd and incorrect.

yeah, unfortunately it's really hard for nostr devs to build and release anything for such a closed system. i really strongly suggest that you consider at least moving more of your nostr activity to your mac, i assume you have a mac. macOS is at least not closed up tighter than a 80 year old nun's so and so.

anyhow, i wrote a damn good relay and i'm making it even better now, it will be ready for distributed deployments across many nodes with replication and simple configuration

there must be someone looking for someone who knows nostr protocol inside and out out there, especially given as how it is so well integrated with lightning and with tech like #gitcitadel about to hit release there is a LOT of potential for something out there that i'm a perfect fit for. i even have half of an NWC library done sitting on my realy.lol repo waiting for me to finish it (it's got all the data types defined, just needs the API written).
