CODE DROP TODAY!~

I've searched far and wide, and I can tell you Arweave's new Global CDN has the most potential for websites, podcasts, and video to defy oppressive censorship. It's a game changer. But in it's current form, UPDATING new content to your RSS feed on Arweave SUCKS. I'll explain it like this:

If a German wishes to speak to a Japanese girl, he needs a translator.

If HTML links to Arweave content, it needs a translator, so the gateways can find it.

Arweave's Manifest is this translator. And updating this currently requires digging through wallet outputs and manual work. Nobody will do this. But...

Our society is increasingly turning towards a dystopia. We all got our backs against the wall, as they come for our freedoms. Arweave shows potential, but potential is just an emotion. Someone has to act.

Today, Simplified Privacy is open-sourcing our original Python & Linux scripts to empower any web dev with intermediate static site generation & Linux skills to automate this painful manifest update. Additionally, we're providing some of the critical documentation that Arweave currently lacks, to explain how to use it.

This is NOT the complete all-inclusive easy-click graphical-client for podcasts, that end-users with no tech skills desperately need. However, it is a first step in this direction, with automating this critical-but-boring task.

Some say the glass is half empty. But I'm an optimist.

And today, we got some drops:

Part 1: https://simplifiedprivacy.com/arweave-instructions/upload.html

Part 2: https://simplifiedprivacy.com/arweave-update/manifest.html

Code: https://git.simplifiedprivacy.is/SimplifiedPrivacy/Arweave-Auto-Manifest-Update

What is your biggest hurdle to achieve the retard accessible upload option?

Ok I'm going to open your eyes.

You and others should consider accepting Monero as well as Bitcoin to funding. If this has not already been done.

Trump assassins so far with aggregated information.

1st, Thomas Crooks:

Deceased after shooting Trump.

Crooks had been identified as a person of interest at least an hour prior to shooting.

Local law enforcement engaged Crooks on the roof (~20 minutes prior?), Crooks allegedly pointed a rifle at LE, LE disengaged.

Members of public attending rally pointed out Crooks to Law Enforcement 3-5 minutes prior to shooting.

Secret service claimed the roof Crooks shot from was too sloped to have personnel stationed. The roof had a similar incline as the roof the counter-sniper team was setup on. The ones who killed Crooks.

The building Crooks shot from had law enforcement inside it.

The window behind the building Crooks shot from was staffed (it overlooks the roof) and staff was recalled/abandoned post shortly before shooting.

Crooks' phone was privately tracked by purchasing ad tracking information. Crooks' phone had travelled to Washington DC and spent time in locations known to be used by government, specifically FBI and Secret Service.

2nd, Ryan Routh:

Arrested after caught fleeing the location Secret Service fired upon. Location had a scoped rifle (ak variant), ceramic plates ("bullet-proof" vest), and a go-pro camera.

Routh worked as a recruiter for fighters in Ukraine, highlighted mainly through his social media posts. Routh helped secure visas for fighters from places like Pakistan and Afghanistan. This type of operation is known as "visas for terrorists", used to gain fighters via the US State Department through "subcontractors" like Routh. Supposedly he was able to secure 100s to 1000s of visas for fighters entering Ukraine to fight Russia.

Routh had many felonies on his record. CIA subcontractors can commit felonies if given proper government blessings.

Routh had information about when and where Trump was going to be that day of the attempted assassination.

Routh was originally from North Carolina (major military hub) but also spent time in Hawaii. Routh may have done some construction work in Hawaii, but it is unclear to what extent at this time.

You should put your Npub onto X somewhere. Didn't realize you had an account here. I have appreciated all your info!

Since most of BTC on Lightning or eCash is custodial, do you think the same flaws of banks are an inevitability? Or have these protocols been able to overcome that temptation?

Monero has shown itself to be the superior non-custodial salable option imo

The demand for XMR will not be televised.

So what you're saying is: you're indirectly employed by the government. I see you FED.

Those of you who have paid close attention to Trump's speech at Bitcoin 2024 may have noticed that the former President – accidentally or intentionally – appears to have given away a lot more on his plans for the future of Bitcoin than meets the eye.

Despite his assurances to protect open source development and self-custody in the US, Trump is first and foremost a national security president, highlighted by his remarks on terrorism and immigration. A loosening of AML/CFT laws, which currently see several open-source developers under indictment, seems unlikely (though a democrat law enforcement officer in the White House may arguably not do us any better).

During Trump's past presidency, the US passed the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020 as part of the National Defense Authorization Act, which increased penalties for AML/CFT offenses and established beneficial ownership requirements for LLCs to FinCEN.

While Trump vetoed the NDAA, it appears that he did not do so due to the AMLA2020, but rather because the NDAA kept Trump from his crusade to repeal Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act, which protects Internet Service Providers from liability for information hosted and transmitted.

According to Trump, Section 230 is a "national security risk" which "will make our intelligence virtually impossible to conduct".

If you had hoped that a Trump presidency would reduce the risks of developers being held liable for "illicit activity", you may do best in thinking again – "Broadcasting" 'illicit transactions' is precisely what Samourai Wallet currently stands accused of, which would hardly be arguable under the striking of Section 230.

Between incoherent ramblings on god, AI, and electric cars, Trump essentially used his 50-minute speaking slot to introduce The Bitcoin Dollar between the lines: a CBDC alternative to expand US hegemony beyond the petrodollar system directly into consumer wallets across the planet.

Don't forget that the vast space between your ears is intelligence's field of play. For Trump, Bitcoin is merely a tool to "extend the dominance of the US Dollar to new frontiers all around the world", and if his speech showed us anything, its that you are nothing more than another pawn at the end of the identity politics chessboard, where a banner hangs that reads: Congratulations, you’ve been played.

Bitcoin journalism is fucked.

I started The Rage because I'm tired of investors and advertisers telling me what to do for below minimum wage compensation.

What we need are publications willing to let journalists investigate the crap out of the companies, representatives and people enabling the building of surveillance tech behind the scenes.

What we get are publications selling out to corporations, startups and politicians writing public relations puff pieces to keep their returns on track. The point of journalism is to hold power to account, not to become its bedfellow.

There is no lack of talented, experienced, investigative journalists covering bitcoin. The problem is that they write what the powers that be don't want you to hear – so many are out of a job, dabbling away at the next press release for mainstream media, or doing below-minimum wage contract work to pay the bills.

I'm incredibly overwhelmed by all the positive feedback we've been getting for The Rage. In just 8 weeks we've scooped major publications and drove discussions around AML, Samourai and Tornado Cash together with your help. We've even made enough to cover operations with almost 400$ raised, thanks to all the zappers out there.

But here's the thing. I didn't come here to write a good piece every once in a while leaving stories untold left and right because I can't afford to focus on investigations full time. I came here to fuck up the financial surveillance complex. That's why The Rage now needs your help.

We're trying to raise 0.25BTC so we can contract the best investigative journalists in the Bitcoin space to tell the stories that major publications can't afford to print.
