What are the step by steps to progress as a Bitcoiner? How deep into the woods is running a lightning node?
Yes if Damus! Its full ðŸ˜
I guess I’ll just use ZapplePay
Looking forward to your session later nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s
Thanks for this!
Lets do it! I’ll be around the main camera area 🚀
I have Alby connected. And I’ve received Zaps on my notes. I wanted to zap people on their notes as well but dont know how.
Wow! Trying to digest hahaa so much to learn about the Bitcoin ecosystem. I’m much more familiar with EVM 😂
Ok I guess my question is what is the problem statement for micropayments? Is it about sending small amounts of money seamlessly? Or is it more of a digital social identity + transferring money?
what i’m getting so far is through Nostr and Damus
- purely decentralized digital social identity
- ability to transfer sats to between those social identities
As far as I remember, Alby is a custodial wallet. There aren't any keys for it, which means you don't have to manage keys, but also have to trust Alby to not disappear one day.
I heard nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 are working on having a Lightning wallet for receiving zaps in a self-custodial way — you might wanna try their 0.8 beta version (it allows you to get a node running on your phone and receive zaps without giving away custody, even when offline, via some Lightning Network magic ✨ it also comes with a cool lightning address)
Interesting. So is Alby only functional for Zaps?
Another newbie question: I’ve connected Damus with Alby. And I’m assuming Alby is a wallet (?). How do I extract the private key to my Alby account?
Newbie here: In what ways are Nostr and Damus unlocking micropayments vs whats available today?
