I'm scraping a curated set of projects from Github, just to bootstrap the project and make it usable.
That creates a few events (of kinds 1063, 30063 and 32267) that go to a specialized relay, now hardcoded at wss://relay.zap.store .
So what you pull in the app comes from the relay - not from Github directly.
I pull from Github because APKs there are signed with devs' certificates, unlike F-Droid

Zap.store is built on nostr identity layer, which other appstores lack. This means that on my follows list, I can check if e.g. nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 uses, recommends, or verifies sha256 of a particular app.
This may sound like a trivial change, yet it changes appstores to function more in line with recommendations from friends and family in real life 🌶️
on top of this great answer, we will have developers signing releases with their own keys - so even without friend recommendations you'll be able to establish trust in a developer and get binaries directly, not through a middleman like F-Droid

Re: zeus higher version, remember this is not pulled directly from github, but scraped into a relay (until devs start signing their apps, will take some time). Will be working on getting more apps and more updates over the next few days
