Yes there are challenges with follows, but getting devs to vouch might be even more difficult. Will devs vouch, or apps, or the npub behind the app?
I think curators might solve this problem. Let's say Ben Carman (who anecdotally is linked to Mutiny, Harbor, etc) has a list of trusted apps. Curators could perhaps be found by WoT + zap weight.

Just to clarify, my demo is very PoC. The longer term vision for zap.store is all devs signing binaries with their own keys.
Fully agree with stronger endorsements. We currently base WoT on contact lists because it's the best we've got - but actively thinking and experimenting with ways of expressing stronger signal

The goal of keypub is to help surface posts by infrequent posters. It takes the approach of summarizing the content before displaying it to you so that you can more easily get an idea of what you'd like to look at, without having to scroll to the bottom of your feed.

I think we all want to see bigger impact, faster. We can and should put pressure on ourselves to do better, but there's a limit. There are things that simply are out of our control. Sometimes the river current will push us out no matter how hard we swim.
As the prayer goes: "Lord, grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
Replacing the legacy system is a massive undertaking. Let's be wise, patient and easy on ourselves. We have the incentive to remain healthy to keep building the change we want to see in the world!
