I crave a country that believes in its own values.
We are in accord on this. My primary goal atm is to be prepared to protect and feed my family. Hopefully I’ll be able to do more than that.
Sorry, not sorry, but - I agree with this. nostr:note1er5gu6cqdlvf7fpt8u88mh8nshnj8m9vcjr8ml7s6nmq42069eyspfsvsf
We will see. I hope whatever happens, that we can hold our heads up afterwards.
Agree. By all measures I’ve taken (both online and personally) I’m almost exactly a centrist. Plenty of Trumps policies worked for me, but I genuinely don’t think he left us in a better place.
I never thought I’d be nostalgic for GW and Clinton. But really, I’d love to see a Reagan right now.
I blame both sides equally. And to be clear, I have the most beef with the elected, but my fellow countrymen (in general) have also failed us, by not educating themselves on our values and rights.
That is one of the things I do really enjoy about talking here, there is a higher concentration of intelligent people.
I’m not a Trump guy, but the argument that being disqualified from being president isn’t a punishment and therefore doesn’t need the protection of due process is insane.
The idea that due process isn’t required because it isn’t in the 14th amendment is insane. The context of the entire document is in play. Rights cannot be suspended without due process.
The idea that running for office isn’t a right is insane. It means that you are disenfranchised from fully participating in the country polis.
Fuck neo-cons and liberals both. You are destroying my country with your child-like understanding of natural rights and the constitution. Fuck you. 🖕

I’ve been following the development of Godot lately. It’s getting crazy good. There are some issues with drama in the team, and some problems that would make it hard to scale a game to AAA size, but it’s come a long way, and I can’t think of a drama-free project. 🤷
I’ve never understood employers acting like they’re doing you a favor, especially when it’s a “golden opportunity” to be underpaid and unappreciated.
Strictly speaking, the correct symbol is the caret. “^”
But it is also often notated as ctl+ or ctrl+

https://logseq.com/ is written in clojure and is pretty cool. But it remains one of the rare things I've seen this in action
That’s interesting. I didn’t know that about LogSeq
Their team helped me get it to run on a Pixelbook Go for the laugh. It worked, but it ran like ~5FPS 🤣
They’re good folks and don’t mind hacking for the joy of it.
Setting up data chains is indeed one of the most elegant things about functional programming. Kinda like how LINQ is set up eh?
Perhaps the sweet spot for me is a mix of both techniques depending on the job.
Heard a lot about it. Still an OOP guy though.
🤣
Making lists like this aren’t as fun as they used to be, now that I’m either learning or using things I hate on a regular basis.
