It being the only cross plat host I can get to work most of the time, I think so. Not everything can be on a hypervisor host. šŸ‘

And it’s very obvious they cannot tolerate that. 🤣

We use VirtualBox 🤣

It was for shock value. Hyperbole intended. šŸ˜›

Yep. Me and my bros pretty much exclusively play gamepass games because it has that same feel. I don’t have to ask them to spend a dime to hop on with me. We can all hop on and play. And if one is on PC, and the game bar on windows is janky (it is 🤣) they integrated discord into Xbox. It’s nice.

Amen. Back in the day VMware Workstation Pro was the absolute best, and absolutely worth the money. A lot has changed. I’d rather use Hyper-V than pay for that crap now.

Hard to tell. I’m a bit jaded on them after their conduct during the suits to stop the activision aq. So, I’m afraid to say much because I’ve developed a pretty strong bias. Can’t be objective.

As an example, when Minecraft dungeons was a thing, only one player (the host) had to own DLCs, and the entire party could play with you in them. That was a seminal moment for me - it really felt like they wanted me to have fun with my friends.

The mid-gen refresh will be this year. Rumors for new full-gen is 2026 or 2028 depending on which leaker you believe.

Honestly, I have a lot of respect for Phil Schiller so far. There has been a number of consumer friendly decisions under his leadership

Across the entire ecosystem. They said the market is changing and players don’t want the hardware their friends own to matter. The implication is that you can also own both consoles and play from the same place on either.

Rumors were they were ending console.

They just referred to the next gen console as ā€œthe largest generational upgrade in Xbox history.ā€ Not. Going. Anywhere.

They are going to focus on making Xbox properties cross-play/cross-save which is cool as shit.

The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves until we believe them. And we have to be cautious about what we tell ourselves because it’s human nature to think of ourselves as the most trustworthy person we know.

Unfortunately, we are often operating under faulty information.

That’s one of the nicest things I’ve been told on here.

It was inspired by a source that surprised me (a Tucker Carlson video) that made me start evaluating whether I am speaking the truth to myself and others or not.

Regardless of alignment on any issue of any scale from personal to national, I think it’s good advice, and something I want to strive towards doing better myself.
