Village life is seriously under rated. Walkable spaces and small independent shops selling local produce mean that most of lifes essentials are at your fingertips. Community happens naturally as people gather in the streets around local bars selling shots of espresso. Village life has struggled with fiat money that demands economy of scale, with life and cities centred around industry. Villages would be the perfect setting for establishing a circular Bitcoin economy.

It is going to be a hard ride to get governments to give up the ability to fund themselves via the money printer.
Hopefully Bitcoin will hold governments to account and prompt fiscal responsibility through open competition as Bitcoin slowly emerges as the more trustworthy option. This is optimistic. More likely government, addicted to the drug of inflation, will fight Bitcoin to maintain its monopoly. In this scenario, political collapse is necessary for hyperbitcoinisation.

Castiglione di Sicilia has been hit hard by the fiat century. High time preference modern buildings with their cheap construction and plain facade stand in stark contrast to the grand architecture of the 1800s.
