It's well known that the DMV is slow... but they are have nothing in US immigration!

"It's gonna take 6 month," 6 months pass, "oh now it's gonna take 10.5", reach that, "oh it's taking longer than expected but you can't contact us until 13 months have past", 1e months pass, "we changed it, now it's gonna be 1.5 years!"

And this is just the first part 😱

I've never liked vampires, but I can do zombies without feeling creeped out.

As we were sitting in a coffee shop, I turned to my husband and said, "I'm hungry. I was about to nubble on your arm, but you're wearing a jacket, so I didn't."

"Now I know why you like zombies, cause you kinda turn into one when you're hungry," my husband said, and I go..."yeah, pretty much. My eyes glance over, and I wanna nibble on arms. No biggie, right?" 🀣🀣🀣

P.s. I don't actually eat arms.

I only made an April fool's joke one time.

I was in the 3rd year of a school and joked that I had been hired to be part of the senior leadership team (it was a huge place) when my mentor said she had believed it, it game me pause...

Apparently, what I thought would be an obvious overreach, wasn't to other people!

It's fun being around people who believe in our ability more than we believe in it ourselves.

If they do, then maybe I can believe it as well.

The Nostr and Bitcoin community seems like such a place.

"I'm fed up", does that mean that I'm not hungry anymore? 🀣🀣🀣

Bitcoin is to money, like the car was to horse transport. Much faster and safer, and no more shit 🀣🀣🀣

I saw someone in a writer's group on fb post a picture that said what each amount of words was called. Before that, I didn't care about word count. My idea was, about 10 pages per chapter, and at least 10 chapters... my first book turned out to be 14,5 chapters. So I'm sure your writing will far surpass the minimum of 40 000 words.

Cool!!! I love that you're working with your son!

I got to the end scene and realized I didn't even have 25000 words...and a novel is supposed to be at least 40000, so I'm working on filling it out. My first book was quite easy to get long enough on the first draft, but I'd thought of parts of the story for years 🀣

I found this add for Nostr in the store yesterday!!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜

Cleans up social media. You can use it anywhere, in you auto, home, industry, and more. πŸ˜€πŸ€£πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‡

I do remember the main thing, unfortunately, but there was so much that happened that I'm not sure I even heard of all of it.

I thought we all agreed it didn't happen. 🀣🀣

I think I've been influenced by my husbands talk about micro hydro. πŸ˜‡

He pointed to a picture of a waterfall and said, "That's beautiful."

My response was, "Yeah... can we harvest that?πŸ˜€" 🀣🀣

Yes, finding a good man who fits you and what you want out of life would certainly make getting married a lot easier, and more fun πŸ˜‰

Do you want to get married?

What's standing in your way?

What do you think you need before you'd be ready to take that step?

I'm genuinely curious πŸ™‚

We went to Starbucks and my husband struck up a conversation with someone... sounds like he's purple pilling him 😎🀣

HAHA HA!

A cat liking coffee doesn't change my tastebuds though, I'm sorry 🀣

Some people think of comfort as a big house with all the amenities, and a nice new car.

I think of comfort as time freedom, and a blanket πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ŽπŸ€£

I don't do coffee, but I did show my husband funny cat videos when we woke up. 😎

That sounds about right. 🀣

The first thing that comes to my mind is the Kinderegg.

I grew up with them being a thin chocolate egg enclosed over a plastic capsule that had a tiny toy inside, usually in a few peices that included instructions for how to assemble it. I then went to the States and discovered that they sell them with the toy separate from the chocolate, and that the enclosed kind is illegal! 😱

I grew up with them, I remember them from being very small, I was taught to not put the capsule in my mouth, though we all did to open them, at our own risk, whenever a parent wasn't looking. But we all survived. We were taught to be smart and figure out that the capsule was NOT for eating... but American kids don't get the luxury of learning that, so maybe that's part of why they also need a sign saying that the hot coffee... is "HOT"?!

Though all of the Americans I hang around are actually smart enough to figure out both of those things and don't need a sign for it... cause they're not stupid 🀣
