My mom often shared how just before a university exam the dorms had never looked cleaner!
Sounds like your website is having a similar effect... soon your place will be spotless and there will be no more distractions (except Nostr) so you can focus on your website I peace ππ₯³
We sat at a table on one end of a long bench at a coffee shop today, and then a group of women sat on the other corner. I overheard some interesting bits and pieces about writing books and reviews and such.
As they were leaving, I jumped in, and asked if they were all authors? YES they were! One lady has written 24 or so books, starting in 2009! Wow, I'm impressed! Also, inspired!
I've felt a bit discouraged about writing lately, but just hearing snippets of their conversation inspired me to get back into it.
My husband shared some encouraging things about himself, that I felt encouraged by as well, so when I read my precious writing, I was able to see it clearly, without discouragement trying to criticize every sentence like before. It was actually pretty well written, and just needed some more things added to it, so I did. It was so fun!!!
The thought of getting this book edited and published in a few weeks seem highly plausible again! I'm excited! πππ
I believe it! There are some things I couldn't understand until I was married as well, but thought I could. I was wrong. Actual marriage is totally different.
So, the idea that having kids will also change and challenge some perceptions or ideas, and how things really work, yes, I totally believe it, and look forward to getting to know what those things are! π
Eh, I just had Grok basically test my IQ, and I corrected his answers once. I wanna think for myself, but if AI can help challenge me, so that I grow in my thinking and abilities, that's how I'd like to use AI. But to think for me?!? π€¨
No thanks! I wanna be human, and AI can be the robot π€£
"It's the thought that counts"
So, I have a whole bitcoin and my teeth are brushed now, cause I thought it.
That's totally how it works, right?? π€πππ€£π₯³
That's awesome!! π
My mom things Black pepper is too spicy, and considers salt a spice... so I grew up with very low margins, I have grown, but not THAT much ππ€£
I'm glad my hubby can tell, usually. He might need a moment to think about it if he was distracted while eating, but he's kind to my palet π₯°
How my husband gets to keep food for himself:
He makes it spicy.
But no, I don't mean he needs to put ghostpepper on it, he simply needs to make it about medium salsa spicy, and I'm out! π€£π€£π€£
Apparently the new thing is to plant kids π€£π€£
Unfortunately a lot of us have been taught to doubt our own instincts.
Trust yourself! Trust your instincts. You are trustworthy!
Hubby:
I'm gonna put on my sunglasses, cause the future is so bright. π
Also, women have been lied to and told that they're empowering themselves by doing so. Back in the day women covered up.
I always find it interesting when someone orders food/grocery delivery from Walgreens, but none of the items are health related.
I don't even think of these as stores unless I'd have a "health" item I'd need, and then I'd remember that they also sell other things π
I use multiple nostr clients to achieve the full experience on nostr.
If you could only use one client going forward, desktop or mobile, not both, which one would it be?
nostr:nprofile1qqsf3d23f5vqdnkfrem3kmvfq5hf4puwszgfnvurn4syu0s6w53s50cpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef00lr5ay all the way for me!
Same!
Heard someone say most bitcoiners started by thinking it was a scam.
I don't think I ever thought of it as a scam... π€
I first heard about it in connection to The Silk Road, and a podcast/documentary/audiobook? that also talked about Ross.
I didn't know what bitcoin was, except some kind of new technological money.
Years later when I had just gotten married and brought my hubby to the middle of nowhere and left for work for hours at a time, and then came home to him telling me everything he'd encountered in the Bitcoin rabbit hole, it made sense, and we invested and it's been awesome ever since! π
Apparently a trans "woman" tried to plant explosives at a Tesla store.
Well, it's clearly not a REAL woman, because she would only complain on social media π€£π€£π€£
If you wanna watch some stories that don't have the cliche storylines of American shows, I'd highly reccomend watching Korean shows!
There's a lot of physical fights, rarely gunfights, and the shift in tones from super cute to super dark is unexpected.
The cops jumpkick criminals they first chased in a group.
The prosecutors do fieldwork and solve crimes.
The women very rarely show cleavage.
The product placements in the shows are hilarious and subtle.
They add cute noises or the sound of wind to emphasize emotional experiences.
There's tons of corruption.
There's usually some rich son of a chairman involved.
Some shows are extremely highly intelligently put together, and has us guessing the whole time, not even knowing what to guess for half the time, unlike American shows where you can usually guess the ending in one of the first episodes.
Exactly!! I'm glad to know there are more awesome couples like my husband and I.
Shortly before I met my husband IIstated that I wanted to be in such a couple that causes people to think that "the One" is a thing.
The One is not real, a good marriage takes work, but is totally worth it!
I like that our marriage can inspire people to know that it is possible to actually have an amazing marriage, especially in the current culture!
Yeah, I have a hard time getting that too. I have learned that there are different types of marriages, and one type I think is called missional, and they basically do their own things and then come together at times.
That wouldn't work for me, cause I'm a high quality time person.
I'm so happy my husband and I both wanna be together all the time, cause it makes it so much easier.
In a conversation a few years ago, I mentioned how Sweden doesn't really have the clicks like American high school does, with the jocks and the nerds and the geeks and such.
The other person bluntly and truthfully pointed out, "Sweden is a country of nerds."
He wasn't wrong.
I was literally in the technical program in high school, and multiple of my classmates were very into soccer and other sports.
I mean, we win multiple gold medals in the Olympics, though we've only recently reached 10 million in population.
Also, Skype, spotify, and minecraft are all from Swedish creators.
